These work well for their intended purpose. They were only about ten bucks, so as long as you're not expecting tool truck quality, you could do worse than these hose picks. They make a good starter set if you don't have any, and makes removing hoses much easier that the old screwdriver prying method.

Worked great and was cost effective.
I had an old Chrysler Pacifica with a cracked thermostat housing. This particular thermostat housing included a fitting for a radiator hose. This radiator hose was about 2 inches in diameter.I was attempting to replace the cracked thermostat housing. After removing the hose clamp I found I couldn't budge the hose. It was as though it was fused to the thermostat housing. I didn't trust myself not to damage the hose if I used too much force so I replaced the clamp and began researching the solution. (Translation: I got on the Google machine and began conducting searches.)Anyway, I discovered something called a "hose removal hook". I'd never heard of such a thing; most likely because I am not much of a mechanic.I made some attempt to purchase a 'hose removal hook' in the local auto part stores. Everything I found was way overpriced and consisted of a 'hose removal hook' set with, say, five different kinds of hooks.This item was my best option in terms of price.I only used one of the tools in this set: the goosenecked tool. It worked perfectly. It broke the hose away from the thermostat housing in less than 15 seconds without the slightest damage to the radiator hose.

Another Great Astro Tools Product!
Astro Tools does it again. I own a number of Astro products and none of them have let me down. These hose picks make it very easy to disconnect stubborn radiator hoses. They work exactly as they should, and are high quality. They are a great value! Would definitely recommend. A great addition to my home garage tool set arsenal!
