Lampe Berger Fragrance - Fresh Mint at The Riad, 500ml / 16.9 fl.oz.

Having had mint tea prepared by a Moroccan friend, I was sufficiently intrigued to order the newest Lampe Berger fragrance, scent unsniffed, based on the name alone. I don't know if this is how a Riad smells, but if I had to channel my inner Mad Man to describe this fragrance, I would say, "Close your eyes. Imagine your hostess has just opened a small chest made of aromatic cedar wood where tea and spearmint leaves are stored. She scoops some leaves into an elegantly elaborate silver teapot; when she adds a kettleful of water, the air becomes redolent with the steamy vapor of mint, tea with lemon and just the smallest hint of cedar, mingling with the scent of a nearby vase of white flowers."Fragrance manufacturers release lists of notes and accords that are more fanciful than strictly accurate. However, if you don't have access to a tester then knowing what the perfumer intended to create may help you make your decision. The notes listed for  Lampe Berger Parfum De Maison - 16.9oz/500ml Fresh mint at the Riad  are:TOP: Citron/Lemon, CardamomMIDDLE: Mint leaves, green teaBASE: Jasmine, Smoked woodsWhat strikes me most about Fresh Mint at the Riad is what an unmistakeably French take this is on the scent of mint. This new Lampe Berger fuel is a virtual doppelganger of  Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca 2.5 oz Eau de Toilette Spray . Herba Fresca has been around for at least a decade, so you may be familiar with it. The basic difference is that your skin chemistry won't affect the Lampe Berger oil and there is no the drydown effect. The notes in Herba Fresca are:TOP: Clover leaf, Italian lemonMIDDLE: Spearmint, green teaBASE: Lily of the valley, cyclamen, pear flowerTo sum up, Fresh Mint at the Riad is like catnip to me. I think it's a delightful summer fragrance for the home, and have just ordered four more bottles. (I hope they start packaging this in the full liter size soon!)

The Lampe Berger is wonderful for cleaning the air and adding a bit of scent, but some of the scents are a bit assertive -- don't choose orange blossom or jasmine unless you really love orange blossom or jasmine, and the people coming to your house do, too. This particular scent is subtle, with a mint and black tea undertone, and gives your home a pleasant, complex scent without making it flowery or perfumed.

I love the scent of fresh mint this scent works for me. I have mixed it with lemon flower lampe berger oil and I love that too.Absolutely, Love my lampe berger- there is NOTHING like this- candles and and essential oils can not be compared to them. They purify the air you breath and make your home feel fresh and clean.

At first, and kinda through burning, this did NOT at all please me. It was very medicinal. But after a while the scent changed to a lighter, lovely mint fragrance, which has become a favorite. This size is a great value.If only they would bring back the Tomato Leaves fragrance. Heaven.

I ordered this Mint..and the Green Chai scent. I couldn't tell much difference between the two except that this does have a bit more spearmint to it. I don't care for either one as they both seem to conjure up memories of smoke shops full of incense or maybe the smell of a smoked in hotel room. Just doesn't smell fresh to me. My favorite scent is the green apple if that helps for comparison.

This is the worst fragrance.....it actually smells like Marijuana. I live in a condo and actually accused my neighbor of smoking pot inside his unit. Come to find out, he was out of town. The longer I burned out, the stronger the odor was. I'm returning.

I love lampe berge lampe oil, I smoke😟 & it is the only real odor killer. Liked the mint but rose is my favorite. I would buy this scent again. Generic brand just burn away so fast not worth the discount.

This is my favorite scent and it’s hard to find. I don’t like the sweet overpowering smells I find in others. This is very Subtle and clean smelling

Smells of fuel and not mint I buy this range all the time and doubt this is genuine as in the bottle and when used smells of paraffin.
