Description should say for Dupont lighters that use Dupont Yellow color code only. Does not fit other colors - will not refill Dupont Ligne 1 models, which is what I own.

Put it on the can of butane, flip your Ligne 2 upside down, and commit to depressing the fill nozzle. If you hesitate, that's when it sprays everywhere. Highly recommend for using locally available butane cans (because Amazon won't ship the ST Dupont Gold cans to California) to use your luxury lighter.

Do not work with my Ligne 1 (red cap, from the 70’s) at all.

Well these do go over the nozzle on the butane refill can - not the threaded Dupont style cans, but normal Neon or Vector brand refill cans. I did not use another adapter inside - as one of the photos from the seller shows, just on to the metal nozzle in the can. The taper of the metal adapter that is for sale here fits into the refill well and over the nipple in the lighter. It allows you to fill the lighter and reduce the amount of fuel that escapes out the side and back out towards you as you fill the lighter. It is not perfect - as there is some blowback - but way better than using a plastic adapter that comes with a lot of butane cannisters (break them off from the lid of the can). I am glad that I bought the product as it reduces the hassle and waste of fuel that I had experienced trying to use the plastic adapters that the butane refill cans come with. This does not screw into the refill well, but you can see that with the pictures the seller provides. All three of the adapters are uniform in size - the hole in the end if good in all three of the pieces, which was a comment in another review that there was some issue with one of them not having a hole drilled in the end - that was not the case here. I probably should have tried a brass bullet weight from my fishing tackle box as they are very similar.... Bottom line is it works and although it is not perfect it is better than what I had and works. I would be hesitant if I had a $400-900 lighter to use these and would buy the Dupont branded cannister or refill adapter that screws in.
