Great - a simple device but makes a huge difference! - easy to install and and one kick and the gate stays open - It's so good and cheap

Fitted on personal garage door in a location that is frequently windy, works a treat and strong enough to keep the door in an open position in strong winds. The stay folds flat against the inside of the door when not use, it was easy to fit, easy to use and good value.

Have just installed a new gate so amazon predictably recommending me all sorts of gate bits. Saw this and thought "actually that looks useful". Its a sprung loaded leg about 8" in length which fits to a gate, door etc with two screws (not included) and becomes a flip down door stop. You need to be careful how you attach it to make sure the leg ends up in the right position but otherwise its a doddle to fit and works surprisingly well. Can't comment on longevity yet, but for the odd use when you're putting out the bins etc, its a genuinely useful addition to the garden gate!

Exactly what I wanted

Really pleased, just a thing for my large garden gate.

Bought this to hold open the external doors on our conservatory, one of which will close in a breeze. This jams it in place against our deck, is rock solid and a doddle to fit (two screws).Short of a hurricane there's not a wind that will close it now. And this gizmo just flips back up with a kick. Marvellous little problem-solver.

I bought 5 of the 25cm square door stops, 4 white and 1 black. The 25cm is a nominal overall length and the black one is correct but all 4 white ones are only 23cm long. The operating length of the black one, from the pivot point to the end of the rubber foot, is 20.75cm and the white ones are 19.5cms. The fixing brackets are 7.75cm long with 5mm fixing holes at 6.25cm pitch. The door stops are sturdy enough, it’s just a pity that the sellers haven’t provided accurate data.

Easy to attach and easy to operate. Not especially robust but good enough for a wooden garden shed door that slams shut in windy weather. Mounted on the inside of the door so protected from the weather when the door is shut. I would think it would corrode pretty quickly if exposed to the weather and the tubing and bracket use pretty thin steel so don't expect it to hold a heavy field gate or anything like that. Perfectly satisfied with it for my application though.
