Strong, Thin, and Reliable Adhesive for DIY Electronics Repair
Strong, Thin, and Reliable Adhesive for DIY Electronics Repair The **Kaisiking 2mm/3mm LCD Touch Screen Repair Tape** is a surprisingly high-quality double-sided adhesive that performs like OEM-grade material at a fraction of the cost. The dual-width rolls (2 mm and 3 mm) cover most smartphone, tablet, and small electronics repair needs—perfect for securing digitizers, batteries, or display frames. Adhesion is strong yet manageable; it bonds firmly once pressure is applied but can be trimmed or repositioned if handled carefully. It tolerates moderate heat from rework guns and maintains grip through daily device use. For best results, prep the surface thoroughly—remove all old adhesive, clean with isopropyl alcohol, and use tweezers to apply evenly before pressing or clamping for a few hours. The tape’s clarity and thin profile make alignment easy, and it leaves no residue when peeled correctly. Its combination of waterproofing, flexibility, and high-temp resistance (rated to 150 °C) also makes it handy for other small craft or electronics tasks. Bottom line: A reliable, inexpensive repair essential that rivals professional-grade adhesives. Ideal for phone and tablet screen replacements, hobby electronics, or even craft layering—just clean surfaces properly, and it’ll hold like factory glue.

Good adhesion
Great. Strong adhesive! I used it to secure dollar store sparkles around a pair of white sunglasses. It bonded them extremely well. Great value, easy to remove backing.

Great tape, fixed my LED strip with the cheap adhesive. Slightly cumbersome.
I used this product with a 5 pin, 10mm RGBWW LED strip. The strip lighting was inexpensive, but most every type of LED strip I've used over the years suffers from poor tape adhesive. It just doesn't stick or stay put. I used this on a computer mod, the LED strip was not staying in place. This solved my problem, and it appears I have several years worth of adhesive tape now, the two spools are about 4mm and 8mm in width respectively, but many feet in length, which means I have plenty for all sorts of applications. The best part is, the tape is very thin and not noticeable after being applied. The only downside is that the spools are kinda big and unwieldy. The tape can curl up while being applied, so I cut short strips of about 3 or 4 inches at a time. But I was aware there was no dispenser when I purchased it, so I knew what I was getting into. The tape backing is plastic and will static cling to your fingers. Just so you know. Slightly cumbersome. I highly recommend this product.

Pretty incredible.
For starters, this stuff is basically crystal clear. Secondly - its incredibly thin. Third - its amazingly strong. I would consider this almost industrial grade. I actually have this mounting an LED strobe light bar on the top inside windshield of a Freightliner utility vehicle. Its about 3.5 feet long, and about a 1/2” tall, maybe an inch deep. It has some weight to it. I ran this the full length of the strobe light on the plastic lens and stuck it to the inside of the windshield. It is NOT coming off…. My first attempt was just using 3, 3-4 inch strips, and after a few days the strobe light bar fell off in the heat (90+ degree summer days). Then i covered the whole length of the lens. Its literally invisible looking at it through the windshield from the outside, and thats no exaggeration. It does not distort the light, shape, or color of the LED lights in any way, shape, or form. Its been about 2 months, and the thing hasn’t moved. I’d actually be a little nervous trying to remove it from the windshield at this point. I can literally grab the strobe light bar, (its flexible to meet the contour of the glass) and pull on it with two hands using moderate force and the thing honestly does not move. I would have to very carefully try to “peel” the light off, and would probably use a heat gun if the day ever comes that it needs to be removed. If you are looking for something really strong, thin, and clear for a semi permanent install - I’m telling ya - this is it….

Sticks to Almost Everything
I love this stuff. I'm an obsessive labeler and print out labels for everything in my workroom--drawers, jars, boxes. Anything that will hold still for five seconds gets a label. So far, this stuff gives lasting adhesion to anything that's dry and non-greasy. (Except probably nonstick surfaces like Teflon.) It's the only adhesive I've found that will stick permanently to curved glass--jars, bottles, etc. All the self-adhesive labels I've tried eventually pull away from a jar or bottle. I'm constantly finding new uses--I've even used it for temporary assembly of small wood projects to hold pieces in place while I drill screw holes. As for ease of use, the backing comes off easily, but handling the tape is sometimes awkward because IT STICKS TO EVERRYTHING!

As good as OEM
I replaced the digitizer on my Nintendo Switch, and I had originally went with some black adhesive that was supposedly 3M. It was awful, though. The roll wasn't very well protected, and it was crooked and about to come apart, and the adhesive had no holding power, so my screen started to lift off after less than a day. What was stuck on was easy to unstick with just a suction cup, no heat required. This stuff, however, is super strong. I removed the digitizer, installed this adhesive, and started to place the digitizer back down. I had the digitizer in, but hadn't applied any pressure to properly get it stuck when I realized I made a mistake and needed to remove the digitizer again. But it was super well stuck by now, as good as the OEM adhesive. I had to break out the heat-gun to remove the digitizer. I'm confident that this adhesive will stick down and hold the display without a problem. The rolls themselves are perfectly straight, and they're properly protected on both sides by nonstick plastic. One very nice surprise is that you get BOTH a 3mm wide and 2mm wide roll, which is ideal for the Switch, as some areas need the 2mm tape, and some the 3mm. Also, because the tape is clear, it is much easier to see where it is not properly stuck down yet. 100% recommended. Update: It's been over a year and this stuff has held on great. There is not even a slight hint of any separation of the display. Great stuff.
