Great and portable
I wasn't expecting much when I ordered this BBQ. It's good quality and easy to fold / travel. If you like to bbq this is great for home or camping. Comes in several sizes. Use charcoal or clump wood coal. Great gift for someone who is a skilled griller. Nothing tastes better than open flame cooking.

A nice introduction to Argentine-style grilling.
Since living and working in Argentina years ago, I have been looking for a moderately-priced grill that resembles the parrillas used there. The grill surfaces can be cranked up and down to regulate the heat from the wood or charcoal. The v-shaped grill surfaces carry away fat drippings into a trough. I brought back a tiny version that eventually wore out. Just recently, I did a search on Amazon, and found this X-Metal design. I decided to try it out. Wow. Inexpensive. Easy to set up. And it does a nice grilling job. My first experiment was a flank steak. The grill put a nice char on the steak. And I was able to control the heat by elevating and lowering the grilling platform. I am just not ready — yet — to pay a lot more for a bigger, wood-fired parrilla offered by others.

Don’t waist your money
Poor quality, cheap metal and rusted less than 3 weeks.

Great idea but not too sturdy
Easy to cook on this type of grill. The food comes out great. It was easy to assemble. However, a piece was bent and because of this it is not very sturdy.

Nice idea but needa work
Okay so let's be fair here, the grill design is awesome. Argentinian style grill love the concept and works but there are too many cons to the design and they are as follows:1. Assembly is cumbersome, requires screwing and unscrewing parts of the grill that are not intuitive. My parts were not equally distributed so it felt like assembly was off. It's welded so there is definitely room for error causing unevenness.2. The chain is awesome but the looking mechism for the chain is limited. You really only have three heights and the highest one can not be locked so it makes it hard to clean without having to disassemble which becomes very difficult.3. The iron clips that hold the chain with the lever keep coming out. This is a problem cause the grill keeps falling off. I tightened them so now it's a pain to pull off the grill for cleaning.4. The grease tray leaks, not welded properly but even then the grease still runs off the edge. Stained pavers or floor is what you are asking for.5. The grill is sturdy but the chain is not fluid and the grill isn't really designed for all the up and down tork. I find my self putting my foot on the legs to I can bring the grill up and down. Also clean up is hard, I know I mentioned it but it's really a pain.6. Charcoal feeding, I am bag guy my self where I lift the bag and pour. You can't do that here, you need a scooper or small hand shovel. Not enough space between the top of the grill and the tray. I also have a charcoal cylinder that starts charcoal, that doesn't fit here so I have to do it off to the side and the. Pour it in which again is a problem due to the height of the chain.Overall it would be great for a trip to take the grill and use it every now and then but for everyday use not worth it. Not worth the price either, will be buying a regular charcoal grill for the summer.

Finally I have an Argentine grill
I love this grill, especially for the price. I was in Argentina and saw this cooking method. Why this has not caught on with grill makers here in the states is beyond me.Pros:1. Solid heavy duty construction. It weighs a ton.2. Large enough cooking area. Cooks up to 12, 1/3 pound hamburgers3. Adjustable height grate for optimal temperature.4. Can be used on its own stand or on a suitable table.5. No need for a cool zone (indirect method) when cooking things like chicken. Everything goes over the coals.6. No flare ups or burning.7. Removable grateCons:1. Legs are a little flimsy but functional2. Needs to be covered if kept outdoors or it will rust.3. The Vs on the grate are a little too large for me.4. The grease collector channel gets filled up quickly when cooking high fat items like chicken5. Difficult to clean box. You have to tip the entire thing upside down to remove the ashes.6. No lid.7. The chains could have been spread out to the sides instead of meeting in the middle.Solutions:Cleaning: I can get over the ash cleaning part but I normally wash it down after one or two uses and the water is far more difficult to get out. Solution: I drilled a hole in a corner. DoneRusting: After cleaning, I coat the v-grate with cooking oil or bacon fat. Hmmm, bacon.Grease collector: I drilled a hole at the end and attached a tin can to it.V-grate too large: I use my cast iron grates on top of it. Works even better now because the cast iron grates retain more heat.Flimsy legs: I put it on my gas grill sometimes. No lid: I put the lid from my kettle grill over the food to keep in the heat and get some extra smokiness.Chains: I will fix that. Easy. All of my changes were from items that I already had on hand. No extra money was spent. Hope this helps
