Versatile prep methods.
Excellent product as can be baked in a bread maker. I struggle to knead bread manually so the bread maker option is ideal for me. It comes out a conventional loaf shape but has all the flavour of sourdough bread. It is delicious toasted with real butter ( and crispy bacon !).

Delicious and easy
I used this in my second hand, ancient, bread maker on medium colour setting, quick bread program, 1000g weight.I always add my own mix of seeds to any bread mix to make it wholesome and less of a guilty pleasure.Excellent results, very pleased. One thing you might need to consider which I completely forgot about is the expiration date. Yeast will deteriorate over time and I forgot to consider that so when the package arrived I was a bit taken aback that I had to use all 10 by end of June this year, some 19 weeks away.I don’t eat a lot of bread, but I will have to accelerate my consumption or make room in my freezer for some baked loaves.Obviously it’s not going to be a problem for most people but as a low consumer of bread it is something that needs careful planning if you are to avoid waste or disappointment of failure to rise if you don’t use by expiration date.I will buy this again definitely.

Postage increase made it too expensive
This was exceptionally good value until the postage prices made it too expensive to buy

Fantastic loaf of bread made each time.
I’ve made five loaves currently and the first three I followed my bread making machine instructions, (Tower) which suggests water, flour then other additions like fat and salts etc. Bread turned out just as it should. However, the last two loaves I made I must have had brain fog ( for the first one anyway,) as I followed the ingredients on the back of the Carrs bread packet. So, put in flour, water then added 25g of butter. The loaf turned out exactly as the others did so no difference when using this already prepared mixture. Whichever method is used though it produces a beautiful soft bread that cuts really well with a bread knife ( without falling apart). Personally, there is just enough sourdough taste for me too.I’ve stopped buying shop bought bread and now have a supply of freshly baked whenever I choose.
