Did its job beautifully!
One of my main concerns going over seas was being able to use my curling iron on my hard to manage hair. This converter worked exactly as I needed it to. I used it to convert my Hot Tools curling iron in Holland, Belgium, France, and England. It worked perfectly switched on the HIGH setting. There are reports from other users that they had to replace their product they converted once they got home, but so far mine has worked perfectly at home again. There are other reports saying that their electronic "buzzed" while plugged into the converter overseas. Mine DID buzz when I used it overseas, however it worked perfectly there and also again once I got home. There was no frying sound or smell at all so I trusted it, and had zero issues!I would like to mention that there are adapters that come with it, and these adapters were very loose. I tried plugging the converted into the adapter into the outlet, and the converter was so heavy it would not stay in very well, and the last thing I wanted to do was play around with electricity. Thankfully, I had other adapters that worked much better. I am giving it 5 stars though because the converter was what I was purchasing, and that part worked great. Hope this helps someone! :)

A Little Bulky but Works Great!
I used this to go to Ireland and N. Ireland (from the US) and it worked great. It is a little bulky, so if you plan on carrying it around with you just be aware of that. I kept it in my DSL camera bag, so it wasn't an inconvenience, and you'd be fine if you're keeping it at your hotel. I had no problems with it slipping out of the outlets, either. It did sag a bit low but never fell out. We stayed in a variety of places (we moved from nice hotels to some older style B&B's) and it was able to be used in all the outlets without problem. I used the low setting to charge my electronics and the high setting for my curling iron with no major issues for either. My curling iron did get a little hotter than normal, but I turned down the settings on the iron itself and it was fine. I would definitely recommend this product for the price and quality. If you travel a lot you should probably invest in a less cumbersome version, but for the infrequent traveler this makes a great purchase.

Worked great for cell phone, tablet and camera
Just used this unit for a long trip to the UK and it worked great for us. Note that we used it to charge a cell phone, tablet and camera, this was not used in the high power setting to run a higher wattage device. This clearly states it won't run a computer or other electronic device so we didn't try on a laptop. We used the in room blow dryer as needed so didn't use it for that purpose. It plugged in and worked very well for our entire trip. Our only criticism is that the plug adapter to use in the wall don't fit snugly on the main unit, then once the device's adapter is attached the whole assembly tends to sag and droop. As a result it would be easy for it to fall apart if something heavier than a light cell phone adapter were attached. Having the plug adapter fit more snugly or clip on to the unit would be a huge improvement. All in all it worked perfectly for our needs and we're delighted to have saved so much over buying one at the airport.

Broken Promises
To say that this is not a good product would be an understatement. I purchased this product to use on a recent trip to London. I called the customer service line before my trip just to make sure that the unit could be utilized in London and she assured me that it would work just fine. Not so. The unit is heavy - top heavy so to speak - and when inserted into the socket, it leaned downward, basically disengaging itself. So I used tape to hoist/hold the unit in the socket. The light flickered on and off a few times then just petered out. I tried a few of the attachments, hoping to come up with a suitable work-around but no luck there. I finally gave up and asked the hotel concierge for a converter and transformer. I don't know if the prongs are too short (...all of them...) such that they cannot make a good connection in the actual socket or if the "top heavy" design of the unit, which prohibits it from staying securely lodged in the socket, is the reason for it's inoperability/dysfunction, but I do know that this product fell way "short" of my expectations. Based on the product design and the real world requirements I think that with this one, the manufacturer is making promises that it can't keep.

Needs support to stay plugged in
I am traveling in the Netherlands (from the USA). The outlets here are recessed and I must use one of the adapter plugs on the back of the unit. The main part of the unit is too heavy to remain plugged in securely in this configuration. I have improvised physical support under the unit to keep it plugged in.

Voltage convertor that works
Had a chance to try this in Peru with 220 VAC and it performed well I chose to only use it the high power mode because previous convertors that I used the low power option actually overheated and melted. It seems possible that the waveform generated may not be perfect for all devices. One battery charger we tried didn't seem to want to work, but on the whole, everything I needed to charge with that exception did well.

These are very good quality. A bit on the heavy side but they need to be in order to deal with high-amp devices such as a hair dryer (these will NOT work with a flat iron or appliances). One thing that I did not notice in the description but was a nice extra - these come with a drawstring pouch, which is very convenient. I wish I had known as I purchased some drawstring pouches and then found out that I did not need them.It has a low-amp and high-amp switch, so they can pull double-duty for use with something like a hair dryer with the high-amp setting and then switch to low-amp to charge up laptops, tablets and phones.
