Outside of the little label wrapped around the insert, this appears to be the exact filter as my usual filter, the Culligan RFC-BBSA. Interestingly, at time of this writing, this Amazon filter is $30.32, whereas the Culligan is only $25.37. Given that the filter themselves are identical, the Culligan is a better value right now. And when I say they're identical - both this Amazon filter and the Culligan are made in China, and I'd be willing to guess they're made in the same factory by the same company at the same time. I know Culligan holds up well over time, and I can only assume that this will do the same. However, if this one shreds itself or otherwise differs from the Culligan over time, I'll update this review. As it is - good filter, exactly the same as the competition, but for some reason, more expensive. Probably just buy the cheapest one you can.

I am using it as a whole house pre filtration system before my water softener, I am very satisfied with the product so far it removes lots of sediments.

These appear to be identical to the more expensive Culligan filters that I was buying. I'm happy with the price.

My well water has silt and with the wound and multilayered filters with a lower micron rating than this filter, I normally get six to eight weeks out of them. This filter was done for me in two weeks. It worked well and I didn't have any problems with it. It just didn't last long for me and I would have thought I would get at least four weeks out of it. I wouldn't recommend this filter unless you have really clear water going into it. Overall not bad just make sure you are using it in the correct use case.
