A great dust cover and a mediocre wind screen
It's perfectly serviceable as a dust cover for an MXL 770 but do know that is a tad bit too thin to be a proper wind screen. It will arrive completely flattened so you'll have to leave some time for it to reshape itself but it's still too thin overall for what it's advertised for. It's perfectly fine for very soft or minor plosives but anything more than that and it's not particularly effective.

Great Mic Great Price!!!
This Mic is amazing!!! And it works well in a lot of crazy environments. Great Value for the money it cost it's a steal!!! On top of that it comes with a case.

Not terrible, but there's not much good in it.
In reality, it's a bit different than in the original photos, but it still serves its function. On the downside:- Comes in flat, folded form, resulting in a crease line around the edges.- Has a very unpleasant chemical odor that will take at least a month to wear off.

Perfect fit, thickness, and design
This is a perfectly designed wind-guard/pop filter for the MXL 770 microphone. It is a perfect fit, and the foam isn't too thick where it dampens the sound/EQ of the microphone. My "p's" and "s's" are significantly less harsh and almost eliminate the need for a de-esser in post production. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a cover for the MXL 770.Side Note: YES, it does arrive flattened. I imagine this has to do with the shipping process which is out of the manufacturer's hands. BUT, this doesn't affect the effectiveness of this product at all. All you have to is put it over the mic gently stretch it down until it is fully over top half of the mic. I couldn't even tell it had been flattened after I did this. I would think in bad cases, let it sit over the mic for a day and it will reform. Overall, the audio quality is amazing and I can't even tell there is a wind-guard on it. Again, perfect fit for the MXL 770!!

Really Nice Muff!
I bought this mic muff for my MXL 990, and didn't even realize they made it till I came across this one on Amazon. It does it's job and helps alot with "pops" as well. It's permanently affixed to my mic now.

Too thin for heavy 'plosive blocking, fits WA–FET47F mic (not many do!)
There are a lot of wind screens that claim to fit the MXL 770 (59mm)/970 (60mm) and similar microphones. Some do and some don't. There is no inner dimension listed for this but, if you do the math, it should be 62.25mm—a little big but it will work. There are better, however.I was not buying this for the above mics, however. My Warm Audio WA–FET47F has a 64mm O.D. basket and screens that fit those MXLs snugly are too tight for this microphone. This particular SUNMON fits. With a tiny bit of effort. I can install and remove it one-handed. I am assuming that it will fit the similarly shaped UT-FET47 and Neuman 47FET as well. The published spec claims .083" thickness. It looks thicker but is still too thin for effective 'plosive blocking up close. OTOH, it is fairly transparent with only the tiniest effect on the sound when in use. I use HAKAN style POP screens anyway so I'm good.Explosives are not the only reason to use a windscreen, however. The capacitive diaphragm in any condenser mic attracts dust and that will degrade the sound over time. Microphones should always be covered if not putting them away after every use. It doesn't take much foam to keep to keep the dust away,Although the web picture shows a piece of foam that is perfectly formed, that is not what you get when you open the package and let it expand to full shape. That's ok; it's more than good enough. I've posted pictures. So, while it is great as a dust cover, it's a bit weak in stopping 'plosives. It does fit a number of mics for which it is very difficult to find windscreens. Adding to that, it's inexpensive. Bottom line: I would buy this again.
