BATTERIES4EVER!
The batteries were received in the best quality, in less than 2 days ordering turnaround. They are protected with the best packaging solutions. I really needed these batteries for some of my collectable statues. It would seem that these types of batteries (LR44) are becoming more difficult to purchase through local channels and the costs has increased as well.

Good value to performance ratio
I've bought these for window alarms over the years. Usually they last a couple years. The only drain they get is the cold or the heat on the window and occasionally, I forget to turn one off and open it. But, I turn it off quickly. Sometimes I hit the test button on the sensor to check the battery. When no green light, time to replace them all!Maxell seems to deliver the best price and performance. I have tried others for less or more and they vary but consistency is more important with how I use them.I just wish there was a single battery I could pop in to the window alarm. Getting 4 slippery small batteries in a slot the size of a pencil eraser is very hard at any age!

Seemingly Decent Batteries w/ a Possible Packaging Red Flag
I purchased these batteries to replace three button cells in my three-year-old toddler's toy Power Rangers Dragon Zord gun. While I can't speak to their longevity, and who knows why a company would use button cells in a toy gun vs double- or triple-A's, I can offer my experiences so far.Pros: Each battery is stamped "MAXELL LR44 0%Hg Hitachi MAXELL Ltd. Made in China". Each battery is sealed in its own blister pack.Cons: A red flag for me is the broken English on the packaging. On the front of the packaging, you can read, "for Calculator," not "For calculators," or something similar. On the back of the packaging, the English is even more broken than the front, reading: again, "for Calculator" and "1. Wipe the battery with dry cloth and set properly conforming ends (+,-)", "2. Use finger sacks of non metallic tweezers", -- what, pray tell, is a finger sack? -- "3. Keep the battery in a dark, cool and dry place" -- okay, reads well enough -- and, finally, "4. Do not throw the battery into fire, not recharge." I get it, who needs directions? Insert and enjoy, right? But QC is important. Finishing touches matter. My hope is that the French and German directions offered are better than the English.General Comments: Ordering batteries online can be a shot in the dark. You rarely know if you will get the real deal or a knock-off. You have to read reviews and research the seller, which I did before taking the plunge. To be honest, I'm not sure if what I received is a really good forgery or an iffy packaging QC effort. From what I can gather, Hitachi Maxell Ltd batteries are supposed to be made in Japan. But, most can be traced to China, where the majority of batteries are made today. The batteries are clearly stamped "Made in China." The logo on the packaging looks legit, but, let's be honest... a fourth grader with a decent printer could recreate this packaging. Despite this, folks, a battery is a battery. I am using these for a toy. For the price at which I bought them, they come out to $.35 each. If my toddler gets even three weeks out of each three sets of batteries needed, he'll get a couple months joy out of them, which is good enough for me. While I can't speak to battery life so far, what I can tell you is I inserted the first three batteries in the the gun, it lit up, and so did my toddler's face. Sweet!Recommended Purchase?: Based on what I experienced so far, do I recommend purchasing these batteries? Sure, not having a battery meter to test charge/discharge rates, etc., I can recommend them for non-critical items like toys, watches, etc. You get so many for the price that, even if each only lasts a couple weeks (assuming all batteries in both packages are good), you get months, possibly years, worth of batteries. That's good enough for me, for this price.

Stock up and save.
Buying lithium batteries in quantity is more economical than buying them at a local store for inflated prices, and they can last a long time in storage.

Looks like the real thing.
Purchased 6/2023 'Use by' date is 2026. Noting other reviews citing sketchy packaging the ones I received have perfect English including all the warnings you'd expect. The holograms change from 'ORIGINAL' to 'Maxell' as the package is rotated. The cells themselves look like any Made in China Maxcell LR44s. I tested each one in the package by poking needle probes through and all were above the nominal 1.5V under a light load indicating a fresh cell. The first few were installed into those vibrating racer bug toys and are still banging along after much use. For $7 that's about all the testing I was willing to do but they seem like the real deal-whatever that is these days.
