Excellent tool, makes work easier, Made in USA
This is not your box box home improvement store tool. This is a well crafted hoe that makes work easier. The downside is that if you are used to mediocre tools that require more brute strength to work, it takes a little while to figure out how to let this hoe do the work for you. But once you do, it is a pleasure to use. The tool requires very little force, just a steady, accurate swing, and it cuts in very well. The blade holds up well to abuse...In my case, using this is a sod/turf cutter in rocky soil. Very few dents or dings, and it maintains a good edge. If you are using it really heavily (i.e. hoeing hundreds of square feet, or a fireline), I would recommend a flat bastard or second cut file to dress it maybe once a day.Last: This is made from old disk harrow blades (think 22" diameter used for large-scale farming), so the metal is high quality, and recycled into this tool. It is also made in Kansas.

THE BEST TOOL EVER!
This is absolutely the best tool ever! We bought a house where all the landscaping had been allowed to go to thick tall weeds. We killed them all with Roundup and then had the task of clearing them all out after they were dead. The property is 1 1/4 acre so there is a lot of area to cover. The hoe we had did ok but it took a long time and a lot of muscle to clear an area. The prohoe is so sharp and heavy duty that it just cut through the density with one pass and scraped the ground clean. It made the job so much easier and quicker. I would absolutly recommend this hoe to anyone.

Wow this is a serious garden hoe!
Needed a how to work dads garden, decided that if I was going to help Dad out in the garden I needed a serious garden hoe. Always hated weeding the garden because of the inadequate tools Dad always handed me. This hoe is well made with a size, heft and sharpness that cuts weeds and dirt like butter. Amazon delivered the hoe quickly and without damage to the handle and cutting edges. I don’t expect that I will ever need to replace this hoe but do expect to buy another one in case I can find someone to help me with dads garden. More than happy with my purchase and after weeding a large garden glad I purchased the Prohoe Field Boss.

Must have tool for large projects (Or bad backs)
My husband bought this tool for me (along with the Fiskars Extendable D-handle Stand-up Weeder https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005D6NX8M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_P9aJd8Mwzlb9Y) after I complained that weeding our overgrown 8000 square foot yard was like trying to remove a large area of body hair with tweezers. 😊 I was able to clear a 25' x 10' area of weeds and old wood chips in about 2 hours. The most time consuming part of the chore was bagging up the trash. If you have a large area to clear, or a bad back, this tool is a must. Get the Friskars stand up weeder if you have stubborn weeds. Minus 1 star for how easily the edge dings.

A Hoe for the ages
I bought the hoe with a fiberglass handle. It has definitely lived up to its' 5 star billing. Cuts through dirt to get to the weed roots. The cutting blade is strong and doesn't bounce off the ground like the cheap hoes do. I am 65 and was a little reluctant to tackle 500 SF of weeds. The hoe worked so well, I was able to keep going and finished in an hour. Definitely worth the extra money. Very impressive.

Won't hold an edge in dirt
Cutting edge rolled over and damaged within a few test swing in dry dirt. Might hold up in tilled soil with no rocks.
