Incredible Collection of Rare Children's/Puppet Shows!!!
"Primeval TV Puppet Shows from 1950s" features programs I never thought I would ever see! The rarest titles in this set are "Unk and Andy" an early 1950s kids show by Jack Kenaston Productions that probably has not been seen in over 60 years and "Topsy Turvy Theater" a funny puppet series which has not been seen since the mid-1960s. I really enjoyed the episode of "Johnny Jupiter" with the late Wright King. There were only 2 episodes of "Johnny" circulating in recent years and this DVD brings the number of surviving episodes up to 3. The collection is rounded out nicely with episodes of "Fearless Fosdick" based on Al Capp's Dick Tracy parody, the "Rootie Kazootie Club", "The Magic Clown", "Howdy Doody's Christmas" and clips of other early puppets shows. This DVD is a must have for collectors and enthusiasts of Golden Age television, and anyone interested in historical children's media.
