Good pencil for its intended use
Great pencil to use. Durable and comfortable. Color is helpful so that it doesn't show up on the scanner. Normal pencil size. normal write speed. good value.

Affordable
These are really good pencils, definitely a must have when drawing, especially if you're planning on drawing comics, easy to erase and ink over.

The Swiss Know Quality
I think my search is finally over! As a cartoonist, I’ve tried an abundance of non-photo, or non-repro blue pencils over the past 30 years, and some are quite good. However, inevitably they all have one or two issues, such as being too light, too dark, too hard, or too soft, difficult to erase, not actually non-repro, etc etc. Like the Staedtler 2mm blue leads, which are nice, but way too dark. The Caran d’Ache non-photo blue Sketcher is my Goldilocks pencil… just right! I’m so glad I finally discovered it! The packaging says it’s “dry and soft,” which is an odd description, but as I quickly found out, also exactly right. It has just enough resistance on the paper, almost chalk-like, and there is no need to dig in hard for it to show up, as is the case with so many other pencils, like the Prismacolor Col-Erase. I’m a nerd about textures and the sound of my drawing implements on paper, and this checks all the marks for my picky brain. I’ve been using this pencil on Strathmore 500 series paper (also an amazing product!), and the combination of these two tools is wicked good! If you like a sharp tip however, as I do, you’ll find that you need to sharpen it fairly frequently, but from what I can tell, this is the only drawback. It does not seem to break easily at all. The opposite-tip eraser is also pretty decent, and leaves no ugly marks on the paper. All in all a fantastic pencil, especially for us cartoonists! Give it a try! PS: The color is not as dark as it comes out in the video.

A Simple Idea That Works (For Me)
I'm beginning to take my artwork to the next level so I thought purchasing some non-photo blue lead pencils would help me out while I sketch my designs, and it actually has helped me out a lot. Previously I just used a very very soft lead pencil for my outline and then a harder lead pencil/mechanical pencil to clean up the lines and erase the softer lead. With the blue lead pencils I'm able to completely sketch out my idea/design, play around with the sketch and once I'm happy with what I've drawn I can go in with my inking pens to complete the drawing and even take the sketch into Photoshop and easily clean up the drawing. I would definitely recommend these pencils to anyone wishing to turn their game up to an 11. My only issue is that the blue lead seems fairly soft which isn't a huge issue but I have to at least add one con in order for this to be a real review.

No more nasty pencil stains on the paper!
From now on, my go to sketch pencil. I was tired of regular pencils leaving gray smudges on the paper when it was time to erase the guide lines. Never tried non photo erase pencils but I finally gave it a go. These pencils are the best thing for an illustrator. The color is light so it is basically invisible once it comes time to ink. No more pencil smudges. As far as the brand itself, it's great. It draws like a regular pencil with ease. It also erases well. For those who are complaining that they don't erase, just don't go too hard with them, they are not meant to shade in or color anything. They are meant to be used lightly as a base for your final drawing which should be another medium like ink or graphite.
