Works perfect for 1st Gen PS3
Was nervous at first to order this for my PS3 1st Gen cause of all the people on random forums saying half the time the hard drive they order doesnt work in there PS3. But it was a great price and I went for it. Arrived very fast for shipping was great price and worked as soon as I installed it. Ive had it for several months and has improved overall performance in my PS3.

Good Product
The 120GB 2.5" SATA Hard Drive by Western Digital replaced a similar product in my 2007 HP Laptop computer. Installation was easy. The hard drive operated perfect after the installation of the Windows Vista Operating System. The investment in the hard drive should provide me with a few more years of use for the particular computer. I own other computers, but this one is used for e-mail, browsing news & etc and it excellent for that purpose.The vendor was prompt in shipping the product. It was received in excellent condition.

It Died
It quit working 3 days after getting the drive and installing it in a laptop, it would not even recognize as a drive. I used WD utilities (in an external encasement) and it got to recognize the drive 1 time and gave a bad checksum on the boot sector and I was never able to get back to the drive again. Its only 35 dollars so it was not worth the hassle of returning and going through all of that. I know electronics can be that way so not disappointed. I can hear the disk read is loud and sounds unusual.

Great Hard Drive, Excellent purchase
I needed a new hard drive bad as my computer had crashed and my current hard drive could not be fixed. So I ordered this one and got it in no time. Works good and I have no issues with it. I did a clean install of Windows 7 with this Drive.

Good hard drives for a good price. If one of them hadn't been DOA, I'd have given five stars.Return service from Jacobs Parts was awesome.

Good product, good price, skimpy packaging.
Works perfect. This is actually the second one I purchased, I happened to need two one for a laptop and one for a ps3 slim. The only reason I give 4 star and not 5 I think the packaging was a little skimpy just a bubble envelope, both drives arrived fine and work perfect however I could see this being dropped in shipment and not holding up well.

Inexpensive but works great.
I just never really HD issues with WD drives failing. Seagates, Maxtors, had to deal with those going bad but WD? Now some people don't like WD for their reasons but for the price and quality anything else is a tough sell at least to me.
