Bought this book to read to my daughter because we are taking a trip to Japan. Has fun information about the country that is helping us understand the culture and prepare us for the trip. Matter of fact, if I hadn't read this book beforehand I would not have realized that our trip is occurring during the rainy season. Caused me to buy raincoats for the whole family to travel in.

This book is very informative. I bought it to prepare my kids for a trip to Japan this summer, but I failed to read the details properly. My kids are ages 3 and 6, and the book is definitely for its stated specified audience of 8-12. Obviously my mistake. But a great and informative for its target audience.

My mother speaks fluent Japanese, but I never learned it. So this book was fun for me to read as she helped me with the pronunciations & optional versions. This will go to my grandchildren to introduce them to Japanese when we visit them....after COVID-19!

Although I am not the target audience of this book I really enjoying reading about japan and it’s culture. I thought it was organized well into sections, shared important and fun information about Japan, but also left room for readers to research Japan more. I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in Japan.

Great way for my grandson to learn little things about his Japanese heritage!
