I have decided to share a feedback on my purchase, so to help anyone have the peace of mind when buying this book.I bought DIPUM3D back when I was a student, and I am still using it to tis day. I am interested in Computer Vision, Image Processing, self-driving cars, and the many other field where MATLAB is used. It is a valuable skill to hone.I believe in not spending money on books as a student, because they can be expensive and after the class, no more use for it. However, it is a different story this time. I was overwhelmed with my assignments and exams, when I decided to invest in myself, my future, and survive the class.A friend asked me how was your book: Digital Image Processing Using MATLAB 3 Edition? The simplest answer that I could spoke of was: “a pure sugar, I am amazed at how much complete of a tool that is”. After a second thought, I was surprised by my own answer and the sincere use of the adjective: “sugar”; what could relate a book to sugar? The notion of pure sweetness, without any impure additive, is the connection between the two. Pure sweetness: because I got more for my money; without any impure additive: because the learning material is accessible, relevant, intuitive, abundant, all this without interfering or noisy information.Students will love this book for the explanations, the many examples and codes, the end of chapters’ problems, the solutions to projects, as well as the online support.Teachers will love this book for the pre-made assignments, which answers are only given to teachers.Professionals/self-learners (like myself) will love this book for the same reasons as above. It is super easy to follow explanations or ask on forums for chunks of advice when stuck.I, sincerely, took the time to write a feedback to give anyone the little push toward a worthy and wise decision!

This book provided is an incredible resource to experiment with digital image processing (DIP). There are an abundance of MATLAB examples to execute common tasks. This book is well written and best when used in tandem with the Digital Image Processing 4e. This title specifically focuses on utilizing MATLAB to implement image processing solutions, and the DIP 4e title expands on the theoretical perspective of DIP. I used this book to augment my graduate course on Digital Image Processing and it made learning through doing possible which ultimately led to the retention of significantly more than conventional approaches to didactic settings.
