Obtained this for a WSM 22”. I don’t care to run a water pan so this is absolutely perfect for me. Much more even heat distribution. I love coming out the next day and just picking this up by the handle setting it in the trash bag, a quick shake and my ash clean up is done. That all being said this thing is HEAVY. Absolutely incredibly built. 24lbs plus your charcoal this bucket smoked for 12+ with out a second though on a packer brisket. Super simple instructions to season and take care of. Absolutely impressed

Does a good job even heat, heavy duty. weight is all most too much when full of charcoal. Used in my uds works great easy to empty ash I put in large garbage bag and shaking around Ash goes in the bag unused charcoal stays in the fire pot.

I was hoping this would completely resolve the problem in my OK Joe Bronco where the hot charcoal, started in the middle, will often bleed to one side which creates a hotter side than the other side. The Vortex basket did help a little, as it can't help but to mix hot air with some cold air, but not enough to solve the problem. I think if I used my Thermoworks billows (fan), it would distribute unbalanced heat better. I'll try that sometime. But it's a very innovative design and a well made product. It also allows one to use significantly more charcoal than the stock OK Joe Bronco basket which allows for a significantly longer cook.

Bought to use with my Weber Smokey Mountain. Very happy with burn time and ability to manage temps. Design seems to work well to even out temperatures and eliminate hot spots.

Just arrived and I’m totally impressed. This thing is built like a tank so I’m sure it will last many years to come. Can’t wait to season and use it for the 1st time.

I use this in my fire box below my offset warming oven. Basically turning my warmer into a barrel cooker (LSG Offset). The coal basket I have is incredibly heavy and difficult to move while this basket doesn't have the burn time of my large basket it's perfect for ribs.
