Leyden 24-by-72-Inch Cut Glass Geometric No-Glue 3D Static Decorative Glass Window Films

This window film is beautiful.I was looking for something that would offer privacy on the paned-glass front door of the new little fixer-upper that we just moved into, but because that door is also flooded in afternoon sun, I didn't want to lose any light, if I could help it.This fits the bill!Every afternoon my new living room floor is sparkled in rainbows, and it makes me smile on a daily basis.Our mail slot is in our front screen door, and so our mail carrier is right at our door daily...and this film offers enough privacy in that I can be walking around shirtless, nursing my child, and know I've got privacy enough to blur the view from anyone looking in.Visitors have confirmed that they cannot see in.At night, when the front porch light is on, the windows are dazzling with color!This product was ridiculously easy to adhere. I just used vinegar and water to quickly clean each pane of glass prior to application, and smoothed the product onto the glass working my way *slowly* from top to bottom while the glass was still damp. If an air bubble got trapped, no problem! Just lift and work it out.Why only 4 stars, then?Because the dimensions of this film are not accurate. It states that this film is 24" wide. Perfect for my 12" tall panes of glass, right? I can just cut down the center and get two panes from the width of the film, right?Nope.This measured only 23 1/2" wide.Half of my window panes are pieces with an additional 1/2" strip to fully accommodate the width.Not the end of the world, as the pattern of the film makes it unnoticeable to any who are unaware of the issue...but enough to be a nuisance when cutting and applying.I'm attaching several photos (again, keep in mind we moved in just days before, so pardon the ugly primed wood panelling and mess), to hopefully convey the beauty of this window film, and to give an idea of privacy provides during day light and dark with exterior porch light on.I'm buying more for other Windows!

i just received this in the mail today, or i should say my boyfriend tripped over the box on his way out the door to go to work. i opened up the larger box, as it arrived with a few other items, and this was rolled in a separate cardboard tube, which i thought was great. i opened that up, unrolled a bit of it and held it up to one of the windows room where it will be placed, and loved the rainbows that started sparkling around the room. right now this room is a laundry and storage room, but very soon it will undergo a massive transformation into my craft and reading room. this room is on the first floor of our house which was converted from a garage/ barn, or something like that. one of the windows is also literally less than five feet away from the road. across the street, and looking into that one window, is a church, the road itself sees fairly decent traffic on a daily basis too. i wanted more privacy while still getting plenty of sunlight for me, and my house plants, and this is perfect.

I love, love, love this film. I installed it on a bathroom window and it obstructs the view in/out to a level that I am comfortable with. As depicted in the product photo, subtle colors show all over it even though it appears clear on the roll. As others have reported, when the sun shines through it, beautiful colors project on the walls. It was easy to install. Be sure to measure it correctly for ease of installation and to reduce the need to trim it on the window. I liked the look so much that I considered installing it on a portion of the window that was obscured but it didn't look anything like it does on the clear window. This is not a room-darkening film.I would buy this product again and recommend it highly to anyone.

My front windows in my condo face the courtyard in my building so people walk by me all day. Should I pull my shades up they can see right into my unit. These films were exactly what I wanted. They provided privacy but did not prevent light from entering the apartment, or completely prevent me from seeing outside. Bonus they give off rainbow patterns from a prism effect throughout the day. My favorite aspect is that at night they still provide privacy because of the patterned effect- unlike the mirrored films. You can see general shapes and colors, but even with something right next to the window on the inside, and you pressing your face against the screen on the outside, its difficult to determine what exactly that object is.

Beautiful if sunlight comes through it but not so much if artificial lighting is behind it, so its best use is looking through it from inside. The listing does not reveal it has no colors, as it appears to have colors in the photos, but it is a clear prisimed film that only gets colors from sunlight coming through it from behind. I intended to use it with artificial light behind it and it is not as good for that use.

Item arrived in a sturdy cardboard tube. There was no problem cutting it to size and applying to the window with a spray of water. I need to work out some bubbles and will update the review with reapplication results. It obscures a bathroom window and makes tiny rainbows in different places.

The item was advertised as 72 inches long. It was closer to 66 inches long. This left me short 3 inches. I had to order a similar film from another store. The film itself is easy to apply and trim. Sadly, it only covered one side of a sliding glass window.

We put this on the windows next to our front door, mainly for privacy. It was very easy to install and looks good. I like the fact that plenty of light comes through and the room is still bright and light. I was afraid that some of the patterned films would block more light. In our case, maybe the most surprising benefit is that when the afternoon sun comes through the windows our entire living room is filled with rainbows! Now who could complain about that?
