I use this item as a photo scale for engineering inspections. Works perfectly, very visible and easily portable when traveling by plane. Works like a standard carpenter’s tape measure.

Stiff enough for light duty field surveys with a hand level. I've used on several student trips to developing countries and field training stateside. Good product.

Great for checking grades. If you know you're going to be dealing in grade changes of 6 feet or less, this thing is really better than a regular grading rod, just because it's small, light, and easy to manage.

Exactly what was represented, possibly even better. I love this tape. Very large lettering and highly visible. You pull the tape out to the desired length and it stays due to the lack of a retractable spring mechanism, which usually breaks and ends the life of the product. I am a career land surveyor. I highly recommend this product for doing elevation certificates. Inverting the rod for items higher than your levels instrument height is so easy. Get it now. Very inexpensive and will remove the frustration of using the bulky 25' rod most surveyors carry. No more cutting feet or collapsing a fiberglass rod and hoping your eyeman is reading the true elevation. Get it now and you will be happy.
