adaptable in my MJ to the disconnect axle
I have the disconnect axle in my '90 MJ and ordered this, aware of the claim that it would not fit because the disconnect shaft is so much larger on the inboard end. But it can be made to work on the right side. I removed the grease zerk, the clip holding in the seal, and the seal. Then I 1) cut the seal so it could be installed after the shaft was in and 2) opened up the inside of the housing on the lathe sufficiently to fit over the larger shaft. I then installed the seal in the axle housing and reinstalled the axle through it now widened enough for the large inner end of the axle to pass through. Since the axle is the same small size on the outboard end, I now put the seal over the top of the axle and pressed it in carefully so the zerk hole lined up. I then installed the zerk fitting and the spring clip which holds the seal in place. I made it a point to have the slice I made in the seal upward. It might leak a little water if fully submerged briefly, but heavily greased, as it should be, I believe it is a nice solution. The only thing to remember is if the shaft needs to be pulled, you need to remove the zerk and the spring clip. first. The seal will pull out as you pull the axle! Cool!!

Great price
When you compare the price line of these to others that in fact are the exact same thing, this made these a true value. If you are a fan of mud then these are a must. the plastic factory ones do not keep mud out of the axle sleeve and this leads to rusting of the axle shafts. These seal up the axle tube and are a must for those mud bugs. These were installed in a 2009 Jeep JKU

Jk stock axles only
These work for stock shafts but when I installed Revolution chromoly axles, they and much thicker and the seals will not fit. The seal flange is 1/2" thick and the gap with new axles is much less.

Better than expected.
I had an unfortunate water intrusion on my Jeep TJ Dana 30 causing bearing failure, so I purchased these to help prevent that from happening. Installation was easy, the construction material is solid, o ring seals with a greaseable sealing surface should be adequate for keeping water out for normal use.

Easy to install
I have been running these for around a year and they seem to be pretty resilient. They are simple and easy to install.

Do not buy!!
Do not waste your money! I put them in and the passenger side is rubbing on the outer axle shaft and it’s causing grease metal flakes to be all over the axle. I’m going to remove them this weekend which is not gonna be fun because of the rtv

50/50
They're good at keeping bigger things out. Rocks, sand, mud. But I'm pretty sure this is what trashed my axle. If water gets in there, it traps it. No where for it to go. That's the only downside. Installation is easy. Put on rtv and pop it in.

So far so good
I have a 2005 Jeep Wrangler TJ took me about 20 minutes to install them if you have the proper tools and your mechanical inclined make sure you put black car rtV around where the 30 rings are when you slide it in and let it dry put the nipple to the inside so that dirt doesn't go in it at this time it appears to work really good time will tell
