Be ready for some exercise especially if you're shooting at 100+ yd targets.
The first shot from my M-1 Garand, at 100 yds was on the Target, but the whole kit and caboodle ended up on the ground and had to hike out to it to stand it back up. Had the same thing happen at 5 yd with my 1911. Will have to get some sand bags to hold it down, I guess. Otherwise, it worked well, I like the idea of having both the Pipe upper bar and a 2x4 to mount targets too.

Quick and easy, once you get all your parts
This was my second set I purchased I liked it so much. The steel is sturdy but not so bulky that it was difficult to work with or fit in pipes. I used over the weekend with two 10" steel gongs and one smaller 3" all 3/8" thick. We put several hundred rounds of 5.56 and 9mm with a few .45 as well with some rounds of rapid fire. The stand was sturdy and stayed in place. We used standard conduit from Home Depot as legs, smashed down the ends and drilled in some holes. It comes with wing nut screws which is nice for quick set up and take down. We used scrap 2x4 from a construction site as our cross bar. I recommend the slide on hooks as well as they made setup and breakdown much faster and easier then screwing something on or wrapping the chain around. It has an initial cost, but once up and running should be set for the long haul.

Great Hangers for AR500 Gong Targets
We took a bunch of these hooks/hangers out last weekend to an outdoor range. Used 3/4" EMT and it was as easy as expected. We were using these with 4" and 6" Highwild gongs, sending 9mm (115 grain) and 22LR at them from about 15 yards back. The hooks held up very well. I'm nobody's sniper so I'm sure I hit these instead of the gong several times. The AR500 material held up well. The majority of visible abuse was probably from the bullets fragmenting when hitting the gong and scratching the paint; which is expected and no big deal. These are great and I'd recommend getting them for hanging gongs. My only suggestion is that they make longer versions available in addition to this size. And a tip for those using these with EMT... Bring a small EMT cutter. If you hit the EMT instead of the target, it can affect the pipe to the point the hooks can't be removed.

My recipe:
(4) 2-1/2' long 3/4" EMT for the legs. EMT was bought in 5' lengths at the local orange store.(1) 5' scrap piece of 2x4.(3) eye lag screws. First is centered on the board, others 2' left and right. Same local orange store.(4) bungee cords. Length will depend on how low you want the targets and the size of the targets. I used black rubber bungee cords with the expectation that they are a consumable and cheap to replace. Bought at a store known for cheap foreign products of western pacific origin.(2) steel targets. I prefer 1/2" thick AR500 and shoot rifle at a minimum of 100 yards. Bought elsewhere on Amazon.

Works great!!
I bought a bunch of these to hold up six AR500 targets. I put them all on an 8 foot 2" X 4" and used a partially sunk wood screw to keep them from falling off. (Shown in third photo.) Now I can set up my targets in 2-3 minutes and don't have to worry about keeping up with the target holders. Since they aren't fixed, they are infinitely adjustable depending on your shooting setup. They are a little pricey, but I don't think I'll ever have to buy replacements for them. This is a better setup than having to drill holes in the 2" X 4" and bolt the chains/targets to the crossmember. Just hang them to get started, remove them to pack up for the day.

Good design, very tight fit
These may be fine for untreated 2x4's, but not for treated. Should be a disclaimer. Beating these on 1 inch at a time with a hammer is not enjoyable, and I'd rather not have to plane the boards I'm putting them on, but I might not have an option. If they made them even 1/4 of an inch bigger they'd go on much more smoothly, and could put a screw in to hold them in place.

Great target stand
It’s easy to disassemble for storage and going in a car

This does not come with chains or wire to hang the targets...
These are hooks for the hanging system but the system does not come with anything for the hanging of the AR500 steel targets themselves. We used slick fence wire to hang the targets as the chains and stuff to attach the targets to the chains just cost too much. The fence wire is stiff enough to hold the targets and still lets them swing when they are hit. This was a gift for a friend and he loved it.
