Great Flavor Ramen from a high-quality/popular Ramen Brand
Nong-Shim is a popular Korean Ramen (and other snack foods) brand, and I typically enjoy their products. But some of their noodles are way to spicy for me, since I am sensitive to spicy/hot foods. I really love this Tempura Udon Noodle Cup though, because the savory flavor is not spicy but it is still flavorful and delicious (i.e., not bland). There are bits of dehydrated tempura flakes and seaweed pieces that you add (in the dry packet) which make it sort of unique, and I really enjoy the soup and noodles on a cold day. Also, unlike some other lesser-quality ramen brands, Nong-Shim's noodles stay firm/"al dente" (I know that's more of an Italian adjective, but I can't think of a better term right now) enough and perfectly chewy. And for those of you who prefer a larger meal, there is also a BIG Noodle version of this same product, I believe, with the same flavor/add-ins, etc. It is just a larger serving size, so would be good if you prefer more food in one sitting.

These are decent, they even have dehydrated mini fish cake slices in it (kamaboko or more specifically narutomaki since it has the swirl). The flavor is probably a bit salty when compared to the real thing, but hey its instant, what did you expect. Wish these were cheaper locally, Amazon prices tend to vary a lot.

Good Taste, not Great, but Good
This is a solid 3.5 for me. Readily available, not terribly expensive. Better than the average cup of ramen. The price was a little high for what you are getting. I recommend this one to have on hand for variety. RamenRater.com gave this one a 4.5. I think that's a bit too generous.

Delish
My favorite noodle cup. Take to work for lunch or big snack. Noodles aren't obviously thick restaurant style udon but still better than regular Ramen. Could be cheaper cause you only get 6.

Could be better....
* Typical Nissin-type thin, cheapo noodles. These are not thick, yummy, traditional udon noodles. :( * VERY seafoody, which isn't bad but if you even don't remotely like seaweed/fish, you'll probably not like this. * Odd tempura, but ok for a cup ramen. It's a pollock fish tempura, not vege. I just pick them out. * Very good broth with good dried veges. Good for price but not buying again.

Nongshim Udon noodles
Nongshim Udon noodles are the best I have eaten. The flavor is great--does not have the plastic flavor of another brand of noodles. Also, you can add the flavor packet how you like it and just throw away the excess. GREAT product!

I absolutely hated it. It was too salty and every mouth I took I felt like I was about to get a heart attack. The noodles end up too soggy and soft as well, no matter how I adjust the water temperature etc. Worst instant noodles ever. Wouldn't eat it even if you paid me to.
