Very nice!
I bought this set of 24 Mungyo water soluble oil pastels and the corresponding set of matching pearl colors. The pearl colors are amazing, soft and lovely to work with. They are reminiscent of the Mungyo gallery soft artist line in creaminess and blending ability, they actually may be slightly softer than those. Really beautiful and still shimmery after adding water. The matching regular aquarelle set was completely the opposite, 16 of 24 of them were very hard, dry, scratchy and wouldnāt blend without water. I highly recommend the pearl colors but maybe skip the regular ones.

Smooth and pigmented
I had another set of oil pastels before I ordered this one. The others were some cheapies that I bought off of Temu. Those were miserable. They were nothing like these. These are soft and creamy and very pigmented. Now I understand why artists love oil pastels. These are a HUGE improvement over what I had before and they weren't really much more expensive. I think these are one heck of a bargain. They are great quality and very reasonably priced when you start comparing with other more well known brands. I honestly can't imagine why I would ever need another brand though. These Munyo Soft Oil Pastels are perfect!!

Great Vibrant and sparly watercolor crayons
I have been using the non-pearlscent crayons product for 3 years. So decided to buy these as well.I love this product, great for both kids and adults.Review:The mungyo aquarelle pearlescent oil pastels are great for both art Journaling and filling the backgrounds in adult coloring books. These crayons are very soft. You can draw directly onto the paper but these work best as a watercolor paint, ie. Rub onto a palette and dissolve with water. A little goes a long way as they are quite vibrant and opaque. They do have mica type sparkle so great if you want a sparkle to the page without the mess of adding glitter.Blending is excellent if you do wet on wet watercolor technique. You can adjust the water to make it more vibrant. They do later up very well. Depending on your layering technique it makes the perfect sunset sky. These colors don't create mud when add too many colors at once. The colour range is the exact same as the normal mungyo aquarelle oil pastels set but with mica. I have both sets and they work well together.Paper should be greater than 150 GSM. They work well on cardstock, mixed media paper and watercolor paper. Keep in mind that paper may warp due to the water. Tape down first. My package was delivered in good condition inside a bubble wrap envelope.Since the crayons are soft the tips of some (4 of the 24 set) were broken off. They can snap if too much pressure is used., but even if they are broken they are still usable. Make a paint palette with the broken pieces.I love them and sure you will too.

Ooh! These are like coloring with pearlescent lipsticks BUT when wet, BOOM, shimmery watercolor!
These are fun & like a budget friendly Caran Dache Neocolor II set (but shimmery too!). They're super smooth, but not mushy. The pearlescent shimmer really looks good too, not just a gimmick (they remind me of vintage cream makeup sticks my older sister had in the 70s). Once water is painted over these, they easily spread out into a shimmery watercolor look. How fun!The sticks are standard size with a conical/pointy end (like a kajal stick), not the dinky, pinky finger size sticks with flat ends, like in my Pentel set. They have a paper wrap "label" which helps keep hands clean, but keep in mind, these aren't intended for kids, so they may stain.I'm not sure if they'd need a fixative, since they are water activated oil pastels. Also not sure of their lightfastness. I plan to use these for fun, not actual "art". FYI, these are also not intended for coloring on skin & not intended as children's art supplies.I liked this set so much, I bought the set of regular/classic colors too & can't wait to try them outš

Buttery smooth! Beautifully pigmented!
I canāt do these pastels justice but my review, but I will try. Iām not a fan of oil pastels normally, but these water soluble pastels can be used kind of like watercolor pencils, laying down the base of color and then melting them down with water, which is how I use them. They are so creamy and buttery smooth and very blendable. I honestly donāt understand how they arenāt way more expensive. The price is amazing and if you are just simply intrigued and not sure if you want to buy them, go for it. They are worth the money and so fun to play around with and create finished or rough pieces with. I imagine these might be great for younger artists, maybe ages 8 and up as well.

My new favorite medium!
I'm in love with this pastel set, the pictures in the review section don't do them justice as there's way more shimmer to them then what I expected. I was really conflicted on whether to get these or the Faber Castell iridescent gelatos but I'm happy I got these. They lay down like butter, are smooth when coloring, easily spread with smudge technique, rich pigment, and I'd say more of a frosty metallic then pearly. I have the Faber metallic set and actually like these more, there's more variety of color and less crumbling like with the gelatos plus they're cheaper. I only noticed 2 minor issues, first is that they dry quickly when using wet application making it hard to spread out with water but on a gesso prepped surface it's not a problem. 2nd was that the black didn't have much for metallic undertones until water was applied and then the silver shimmer was noticeable. If you like gel crayons, oil pastels, or gelatos then you'll love these!
