Pleasant Support For the Insomnia Battle
Badger Sleep Balm is a wonderful product. I have used and relied on it for many years. What it does for me is create a subtle sleep tipping point, so to speak, that helps me drift off in conjunction with other sleep supports, meditation, and so on. Unless you suffer only 'mild' insomnia, it may or may not be enough to put you out by itself alone. It has a discernible lavender-ish scent that is noticeable but not overwhelming. Dabbing a bit under my nose, chin, and wrists just before lying down to sleep does it for me.A large tin lasts months even with nightly use, so the cost is very reasonable. If you are on the fence, there is a smaller .75 ounce travel-size tin size offered also.

Muscle Rub is great.
I love the products made by Badger Balm. I couldn’t find the muscle rub in the store so was so excited that it is online to purchase. Works great after a day after workout or tightness in your neck from using the computer all day. The sleep balm has a lovely smell and am just starting to use it.

Nice, but smell is too faint for me.
I turned to the internet for some ideas on help with my occasional sleeplessness. Pretty quickly I was drawn to the idea of aromatherapy, and while I have no idea what it is about lavender that makes it associated with sleepiness, I figured at the very least it would be a nice calming scent to crawl into bed with. I thought about using a spray but when I found this balm I liked that idea, since you know the scent will be right on you (and not on your bed mate if you have one). The balm smells lovely. There is a lot in the tin; it will last a long time. I apply it primarily to my lips, and rubbing into my temples feels nice. I have acne prone skin but this has never caused me to break out. My main issue with this product is that though the smell is nice and calming, once I close the tin and shut my eyes, I can barely smell it. Even if I slather it onto my lips. I've even put a thick layer right under my nose (not the most comfortable sensation) and I still feel like I'm barely getting a whiff. So purely because of this, its effects are limited. Everyone's sense of smell is different so maybe others don't have this issue, but for me it is too faint.I can't say I've had perfect nights of sleep since using this product (and I do use it almost every night). But I keep reaching for it anyway. While applying it I breathe deeply and it does help to make me feel a little more ready to sleep. I definitely think there might be a bit of a placebo effect. So bottom line: if you really want a noticeable scent of night time aromatherapy, this might not do it for you. But it is nice enough and not too terribly expensive that it's worth a shot.

Best sleep balm EVER!!
My parents used to get this for me when I was a kid and it always helped put me right to sleep, there's somthing about lavender that's so soothing and this brands particular scent blend is very pleasant. After years of not using it and completely forgetting it existed, they got me a tin for Chistmas and It still does the job! I recognized the scent immediately and got a little emotional because its the same as I remember after at least 10 years.I absolutely love this balm, it's moisturizing without staying too oily, a wonderful calming scent and suuuuper affordable in regard to sleeping aids . The tin also lasts forever because the product goes a long way. I just got another one because I know I'll eventually want more and I found a ton of other balms by them I wanted to try. But I'm not even barly through the one from Christmas time (its currently April) so the one I just bought is going away in a drawer till I need it 😅

Soothing smell and helps me sleep
At bedtime I rub some of this on my wrists, on my temples, and at the base of my neck. The smell is very soothing and relaxing, and helps me wind down for sleep. It isn't overly greasy if you rub it in completely, so no worries about getting it on your sheets or pjs.

Thought I'd try it...
I'm looking for more of a nightly "routine" to help with sleep. Something to signal my body that it is time for sleep to avoid the need for sleep meds. In that sense, this helps. However, is there anything magical in this that wouldn't be accomplished by a nice hand cream? It seems doubtful. I like that it is light and doesn't leave anything greasy on my sheets or pillowcases. Scent is very light.

Unscented?!?!?!
I don’t know if I got a bad batch, but it had absolutely no smell. I have a very keen sense of smell, so I would have smelled lavender or Bergamont If it was present. I rubbed it onto my arm and had to put my nose almost touching to get even the tiniest scent. Since it’s not returnable, I’m going to melt it down and add in my own lavender and Bergamont, which I just happen to have. What a disappointment.
