I'm using it as I type this!
Ahh, this is my desk baby! Very stylish look, and with a nice airflow. It's slim and chic, and the clip frees up some much needed real estate on my desk. Only two settings, but that's all I need. It's not loud, and I like the fact that there are no fan blades visible. It's looks like a mini AC, and sorta feels like one as well. It's the one fan that my family keeps stealing from my desk, so I guess that's a good sign. ;)UPDATE: October 4, 2014I'm STILL using this as I type. Nice cool breeze blowing over my face, neck and shoulders. Still clipped to my desk without a problem. Love this fan!UPDATE #2: August 24, 2015It's me again with another update. This little fan is STILL clipped to my desk and running perfectly--and it's nearly 2 years later!

Excellent fan, if a bit noisy and non-standard
I work on an Army installation in their computer carry-in center; there is one HUGE window with one SMALL slit at the bottom that allows for...well, for far less airflow than this fan is rated for. Thus the reason for purchasing this.I bought this fan after having read all the reviews; I was cognizant of the 'noise' issue, and I will admit that when I first turned it on, it sounded a bit louder than your normal fan this size might. With that said, unless you're one of those who requires COMPLETE quiet when working, the noise is not even an issue. It has two speeds; I normally use the low speed when I simply need some airflow, and I use the high speed when I need higher airflow for some reason (e.g., when I come straight from the shower after having done a CrossFit WOD on a hot day and need the increased airflow to cool myself down). The mounting clip is quite nice, and is pretty much strong enough to mount this in any position you need it.One caveat: Get yourself some canned air and blow this thing out every week or so. After months of leaving this running constantly (yes, you read that right - this thing has been on for FIVE MONTHS straight without issue), I blew it out and almost suffocated on the amount of dust within. LOL That's my own fault, however.I highly recommend this product.

I bought a used one (it is like new) and was pretty excited when I got it
I got this for my new office at work which can get really warm to the point that I was getting headaches. And I had just learned that their AC is broken. I browsed and looked at other desk fans but for some reason this one hooked me. I guess the slim rectangle figure of it is what caught my attention. And the fact that it also has a desk clip. I read the reviews and decided to go ahead and give it a shot. I bought a used one (it is like new) and was pretty excited when I got it. I tried it out at home first. Now, in my search for desk fans, I wanted a quiet one. This one isn't exactly loud but it isn't quiet either. The thing is, the noise does not bother me. It provides white noise which I love. It pretty much makes the sound of a metal cage whirring really fast (Which i think it actually is. From what I can see inside and I'm sure it has a term for the compartment I am speaking of but to me it looks like a very slim, long, teeny tiny cage which when spun, gives off air)When I first switched it on, I thought I wouldn't be able to tolerate that hum but I can. I have even clipped it to my bed and I have fallen asleep just fine with a nice breeze.Ok so the true testing: Took it to work the next day, didn't use the clip, just stood it up on its base (I also love that it can stand on its own.) Put it on low (unfortunately if you put it on high, the noise gets a tad louder) and went through my duties. When I clocked out I realized not once did I have to take my sweater off! It kept me nice and cool. And the noise was comforting especially during this past week as Easter came so the office was super busy and everyone was running around like headless chickens trying to meet deadlines so thank you white noise!)*I bring my fan home with me every day because I don't want someone taking it and I also sleep with its lyrical hum--instead of using my big bulky fan from Costco

My Hot Flash Fan!
I've finally started getting hot flashes. If you already have them you know how miserable they make you feel. I have a box fan running on the floor but it didn't reach my face, neck and chest which is where hot flashes tend to strike.I decided to look for something that would help. I would wake up hot and in a sweat and just couldn't get a good night sleeps. I saw the way this one was shaped and liked the design. I have a desk right next to my bed and decided to clip the fan onto the desk. The fan also swivels in and out so I can push it out of the way when I get up. When I go to sleep I pull it in so it hits right in the areas I need. The fan is two speeds, low and high. Both work great. I've felt the tingle of a flash but with the fan on me I never broke out in a sweat. It has really helped to make my nights sleep bearable without running my husband from the room because its to cold for him. Its a great compromise to put the air right on yourself.I'm sure people have other uses for this fan, for me, it sends me to sleep with a smile on my face. The air is cool and comforting and really helps to relieve the misery of hot flashes.

PROS - The fan is nice and compact
PROS - The fan is nice and compact.CONS - There are 2 speeds... 1 and 2... When the fan is on 1, (lower fan speed) it is pretty good, relatively quiet and decent amount of air blowing. When fan speed on 2 (higher fan speed), the fan is VERY loud. (I have fan located on my computer desk.) Fan is so loud on 2, that I now have to put the volume up on my tv much higher. Not that it is a huge issue, but turning the nob does require some strength when switching / turning nob for different fan speeds or OFFI'd recommend this fan if you only use the fan on the lower fan speed (1) or if you are okay with fan speed (2) being MUCH LOUDER
