Amazing Phone For The Price
The media could not be loaded. After almost a week of owning the phone, I am extremely impressed with the quality and performance of the device. I purchased this phone as an upgrade from my Motorola Moto E5 which was starting to feel sluggish and the camera wasn’t up to modern standards. I was surprised to see that this phone came with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This, along with the processor and cameras, was a real selling point for me. After switching to the RealMe 5 Pro I instantly felt a huge difference in performance, and after updating it to android 11, I am really impressed with the way the phone feels. The 48mp camera was a big improvement over the 13mp camera on my Motorola, and the images I took came out looking crisp and clear. I have fairly large hands and the phone feels really comfortable when I use it. The phone is just the right size for me. The fingerprint sensor works a lot better than the one on my Motorola and on my iPad, however my only gripe with the sensor is the positioning of it. The sensor is a bit too high up for comfort, although this isn’t a big issue as I unlock my phone using the fingerprint sensor as I grab it out of my pocket or pick it up of my desk.I tend not to write long reviews like this, however this phone has impressed me so much considering the price, that I felt it necessary to share my positive experience with this product with others. I DEFINITELY recommend this phone to anyone else looking for a cheap smartphone that won’t break the bank.I’ve noticed that budget smartphones are getting better and better (the moto e5 was a good rated budget smartphone for ~£120 a few years ago) and I definitely think this is up there on the list of the best budget smartphones. I hope this review helped anyone reading this to decide whether this is the phone for them and if you do end up purchasing it, I can guarantee you will be as happy as me :)

This was the best decisive bargain and decision Made in my life. Overjoyed with my phone!!!
I wanted to own a modern phone without the price tag of a big brand. I was after something that could take great photos, have a good processing speed and be quick for browsing and also be competent running the latest games such as Call of duty and PUBG. Having ownd previously LG, Sony and Samsung phones I was dubious about trying a lesser known brand and did plenty of research on Google and YouTube of budget and midrange phones. To cut a long story short I came up with a short list of the redmi note 8 or realme 5 pro and I am so happy in my choice. The phone doesn't even feel budget in anyway and I feel I have a premium device which most other people don't have. If people are to ask me wow that phones nice look great, feels good, runs the best games without breaking a sweat and has a Great camera which looks better than my LG and Sony how much are you paying? I can say well I'm not paying 50 quid a month for the next 3 years I paid £230 an now own it ;) I have never felt like such a worthwhile gamble paid off getting a unknown brand in the UK the Amazon version even came with a UK fast charger and charged the phone from 5% to full in less than 90mins. To be honest I could see this Chinese brand giving Huwei and the like stiff competition. Realme is already very big in the likes of China, Philippines and India

Good phone but poorly designed button placement and some bugs
Like the display, its fast compared to my old one, plenty of storage. One downside is that the power on/off and volume keys are opposite each other and when you press both it take a screenshot; When I set it up it said I had duplicate contacts and should then be combined, I said yes but it randomly assigned those phone numbers to people or several people in my contacts - if asked say no!; The embedded email app "Aquamail" carries adverts so before you invest time setting it up ditch it for something else; It randomly thinks I haven't used it for 72 hours and makes me input my start code and wont respond to fingerprint.

You get what you pay for
This phone was not for me and it replaced the 4gb version which I thought would be alright, the 4gb version just kept freezing and the processor really wasn't able to to keep up even when scrolling and would permanently freeze when opening a new app, the 8gb version is much better and keeps up how it should without any difficulties, I never bought the realme 6 Pro as the test videos showed that the photography was quite poor (especially in low light), the cameras may have fewer megapixals on the 5 Pro, but after 20 megapixals it becomes meaningless as the eye can't see the extra detail anyway, take a look at a professional SLR camera, more does not mean better, you will be buying memory cards that you don't need and the camera will take longer to cycle. There are many "older" models out there that will take better pictures because they have lower megapixal cameras, find one with 18-20 mp maximum, it will cost a lot less, need less memory, cycle faster and work better in low light too, use it as a camera rather than a phone or both and save yourself some hard earned money, but get a good memory card, the biggest and fastest that you can find, save up if need be, if you scimp on the quality and speed of the memory card you won't get the best from the camera and you will miss shots which you thought that you had, a U with a 3 inside on the memory card is what you need, beware fakes too, buy from somewhere such as an electronics shop not online and certainly not from Aliexpress or Amazon even, you will pay more but you will be getting what you are paying for, good luck :)

Great phone and value for money
I've been using this phone for a week or so now and have been very impressed with it.I was worried it would be too big to go in my pocket but it's just about right. There is more than enough storage space and it's really quick, I've had no problem with connecting to wifi or 4G network but can't get mms to work, I suspect that is a carrier issue rather than the fault of the phone though. The finger print sensor works quickly as does face unlock, the camera seems to take good photos too but I haven't used it extensively. It came with a jelly case but I don't think it is great and replaced it with another which is more comfortable.Overall I think this is a great phone and am very happy with my purchase at a fraction of the price of big brands.
