First impressions are very good. Haven’t used them yet

This does exactly what it is supposed to do. I used this instead of the hinge to mark my hole locations because the 60lb-force torsion hinges are too difficult to open without being screwed into place first. Rockler always makes quality products.

It was used to align the hinges to the top of the hope chest.

This makes the job of attaching hinges that much easier. Just measure for where along the lid you want them and drill your holes. Highly recommend using a self-centering drill bit. My job of putting new hinges on a toy chest came out perfect.

This makes installing the hinges a snap. Its also small and easy to store. Do you need it? No. Does it make life easier? Totally.
