These came up in the search results for a universal rocker switch and I decided to give a try. I'm glad I did, replacing it was super easy and it's a perfect fit. They operate smoothly. What a waste if time, effort and money. First of all these switches are what I would call momentary, normally open. At rest the circuit is open, and they are spring loaded, so when you press the switch it momentarily closes the circuit until you let go. The listing called them "self-reset" which implies the same thing, but when I asked Rufus if the switches were "momentary" they said "no", which of course is incorrect. The quality control is extremely poor as four out of the five I received do not work - no continuity when the button is pressed (as tested with an ohm meter). The one that did work was only intermittent and not to be trusted. Several other reviewers reported a similar experience and I should have known better. Unfortunately, quality brand switches of this specific type and size do not appear to be available on Amazon, so I will be returning these and purchasing a reliable product from a large electronics supply house.
