THERMOS 16oz Stainless Steel Direct Drink Bottle, Black

I have owned 5 of these over the years and they are my favorite coffee cup for traveling. If the coffee is not cool enough to drink when you put it in, it will still be too hot to drink 2 hours later. Make sure you don't fill it above the lip on the interior of the bottle near the top or it will leak. That lip is where the lid seals and any fluid above that lip will run out. Don't wash them in a dishwasher or the outer color/coating will come off.

This is a nice compact water bottle that I use to take coffee in during hunting season. It keeps my coffee hot on those cold days in the stand.

I have been using for many years an older model Thermos vacuum bottle with a wide mouth (about 2 1/8”) for hot drinks while go, and a plastic part of the push button lid opening finally broke. It is still useable, but I must use the latch to keep it closed, which is a nuisance; the push button feature no longer keeps the lid closed. This is the third vacuum bottle that I’ve tried out as a replacement for that old model, and none of them has a wide mouth; this model has a 1 5/8” wide mouth. Why is that a concern? I often make coffee and/or hot chocolate in a mug, then pour it into this thermos. A wide mouth makes it much easier to do that without creating a mess. Why does nobody make a vacuum insulated bottle with a wide mouth now?

I have started using this every day. It works perfectly. I can put ice in it and it takes forever to melt... and I can switch to a hot drink instantly with no trouble, and it remains hot! And the outside is never affected by what is inside, always perfect to the touch.

I loved this thermos the first time I ordered it. Unfortunately, I lost it and ordered a second one. The second one had a problem with the top not popping all the way open. The button just seemed to release the top from the closed position, unlike the first one I had where the top popped open by itself with no help from me. I exchanged the second thermos for a third one thinking the second one was defective. Nope, the third one also does not pop open the top. I contacted Thermos and they are sending me a replacement part. Makes me wonder if this is a common problem. I hope the replacement part fixes the defect because the thermos is really great. However, it shouldn't take two hands to open it.

One of the best design and insulation

I have bought MANY insulated bottles for my coffee. This one is by far the best. Keeps it hot for 6+ hours, warm for about 8 hours. It’s very compact but still holds a full 16 ounces. It is also leak proof. I carry it in my purse/backpack and have never had a spill. Lid comes apart for easy cleaning. Highly recommend.
