IT'S NOT NEW TO ME. I'VE USED SIMILAR PRODUTS LIKE THIS ONE WITHOUT A PROBLEM. SO THESE ARE JUST AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THAN ONE'S I USE NOW. THESE ARE THICKER, EASY TO PUT ON AND COVERS EVERTHING I PUT IT ON.

these work quite well. much wider than regular rifle covers so easy to stretch over a scope with no stress or pulling caps off. good deal for the money. this is the second set i've purchased

These are of decent quality, so they do not seem like they will tear easily. However, there is not a lot of stretch in them. Over a shotgun with just a bead, they are fine. Over a 22 with no scope, ok. Over a bolt action with an average scope it was a very tight fit. On a Mosin with a small scope it was a fairly tight fit - it went on, but I had to keep nudging it over the scope. On anything with a grip or a somewhat large scope, this is a total no go. For that, I had to use the "Arcturus 47" Silicone-Treated Gun Socks - Extra-Wide Rifle Socks" which I also got here on Amazon. While slightly shorter, they were double the width and stretched even more. The wider ones cost about 40% more than the narrow ones (25v38), but if your not cheap (like me), just get the wider ones for all your long guns, and then you won't have to fuss with any of them. The narrow ones are narrower than the socks I wear on my feet. They come packaged in a ziplock bag. There is a slight smell of silicon. They should go fine over most rifles that have no grip or scope (think 22's and shotguns). For anything else, it's a bit of a stretch (see what I did there). If you don't shoot much, or have a lot of safe queens, then get these, stretch them on once, and then you may not touch the gun for years.As the old timers who wrapped their rifles in blankets and rubberbands knew - any protective covering keeps everything in better shape.

These fit all of my Rifles, Shotguns, and AR-15 Pistols as well. After cleaning, if I am not planning on using my rifles foe a while I put them into the socks for storage. These really do seem to protect from moisture and rust as well as keeping the oils in and any moisture out. I have used these when I transport more than one rifle (and pistol) in a hard case to keep them from touching and scratching. They also protect when I use the back of the seat in my truck for a good hidden transport place. The drawstring ensures they keep the weapons in and noting leave the sock.

Will not fit most full sized rifles, let alone a scoped rifle. I’ve never encountered gun socks so narrow. Don’t buy.

Waited 3 weeks for this to came from China. For the same price I could get better quality ones locally from a store.

The reviews seem so suggest that this sock could stretch to fit most rifles with a scope, however, from my experience it was simply too narrow to fit even a 22 with a scope. Fabric seems to be good quality, just perplexed as to why it is made so narrow. Could not even fit over the stock of a larger rifle.
