First off, the rack was packaged pretty well. There was foam, plastic and straps to protect the rack from shifting or scratching during delivery.It was pretty easy for me to set up. Took me about 30 - 40 minutes to bolt everything together. I usually work on cars and other stuff though. It might by slightly more difficult for anyone with no experience in putting stuff together but not bad at all. Instructions are pretty straight forward.Once installed on the hitch the rack seemed pretty sturdy. I does wobble a little bit from side to side but from what I read that is pretty normal with any carrier that you buy. I guess there is hitch tighteners you can buy to fix that. It didn't wobble that much where it would be a problem but I might buy one of those later in the future for more stability.On some of the reviews on other carriers and even one review on this carrier said the carrier drooped and bent down. I did not have that issue with mine. The steel arm that holds the carrier basket is pretty thick. I cant imagine it bending or drooping at all. I stood on top of it to see if it could hold my weight and it did with no issues. I weigh 236 pounds. I even jumped up and down on it and it didnt feel at all like it was gonna bend.The arm that attaches to the hitch also has different holes so I was able to install it where I could still open the truck bed without hitting the carrier or cargo I was carrying.The carrier also came with a large cover, net and 2 straps. The cover is a little thin and I wish it was a zip up bag instead of just a cover but thats more like an accessory to the rack so it wasnt a big deal and I guess I can purchase a better bag separately if I feel I need to in the future. The net that It came with works really well. the hooks on the net attach pretty good to the rails on the rack, they do a good job of keeping everything in place. The straps were also pretty good. I had no issues with those either.Overall I'm pretty happy with it. The carrier feels sturdy and has plenty of storage space for luggage on trips. I have not used it on a trip yet but If I have any issues in the future I will update this review. Also make sure you buy a hitch pin if you dont have one already. That was the only item missing to make it complete. They are only a few bucks at walmart or amazon so no big deal. Good carrier rack, would recommend.

We used it to transport six pieces of luggage (four 24" and two 16"), along with a stroller, on a two-hour drive to the airport. Everything fit perfectly and was held securely throughout the trip. No issues at all—everything arrived in perfect condition.

Purchased this item a week ago for a trip from Utah to California, new vehicle without a lot of storage space and this was just what we needed for a family of 7, it did the job well. About 1400 miles round trip and had only minor issues with the accessories.Assembly: Took me about 45 minutes. There are diagrams and pictures, few written instructions. I had to search Youtube for a video on the hitch stabilizer as there were no instructions for this and I had never used one, but I definitely recommend it. Totally eliminated the play at the receiver. The instructions did have the removable pin located in the wrong spot; would not have been able to fold or extend the basket without a socket wrench if I had placed them where the directions indicated.Cargo Basket: Handles about 5 full size pieces of luggage, I had 4 large and 2 carry on sized pieces and they did great. Very stable, basket is deep enough. Folds up nicely too. With the luggage in place I was able to open the back of the vehicle with plenty of clearance.Quality of item: the basket and hitch assembly is very solid, high quality although there was a small weld that came loose on the grated bottom of the basket because I had placed one of the ratchet strap hooks wrong and it pulled one loose. Otherwise, great. You can see in the picture of the removable pin, I had to push the clip all the way through rather than the normal position as it was really loose, if I had left it in the middle position I was afraid that it would wiggle loose. The bag to cover the luggage: poor quality, you can see the stitching coming loose after just one trip down and back, also it is not waterproof, we will be looking for a waterproof bag for traveling in weather. The elastic cargo net survived and most of the net worked fine, we had a spot that melted and frayed. I am not sure how that happened, it was not dragging or too close to the exhaust, so this is a mystery to me. You can see in the picture that 3 of the clips did not make it 1 round trip without breaking. The ratchet straps worked great, I added another of my own so that I had 3 and it was very secure. The reflector stickers stayed on at the sides, the ones for the back came off pretty much immediately. I had seen those reviews and so I made sure to clean and dry the surface but this did not change anything, they were worthless. You can see the picture of the back, no reflectors present.Would have been 5 stars if the cargo net and bag were better quality and if the bag was waterproof like it said, but overall I'm happy with the cargo basket and would recommend purchasing, we have another trip coming up soon and I expect that it will do great.

I bought this to use on my Honda Odyssey minivan that has been converted into a camper van. There isn't a lot of extra room in the van and this carrier solved that problem for me. I was able to put in my camp kitchen, a portable picnic table, my outdoor screened room, my rake, and a few other items, as well as a good supply of firewood with room to spare. Included with the carrier was a storage bag, netting, tie-downs, and a stabilizer that mounts on the hitch to stabilize it. I think it was a bargain because it came with everything you need in the same package. I did add a tarp on it because it had been raining and I wanted to be sure the firewood stayed dry. I don't know if it would have stayed dry or not without the tarp but who doesn't need to have a tarp on hand when they're going camping anyway.You do have to assemble it; the instructions were clear and all of the parts were there. I put it together myself without too much trouble. My son did have to put it on the hitch for me because I am a small female and it was too heavy for me to lift it.I am so far very happy with my purchase. I hope I get to use it for year's to come.

Straps and cover did not last long. With that said the product itself is great. I purchased this and July of 2021 and have taken it on vacation for the past four years. Fully loaded and each trip was a minimum 2500 miles. It is now 2025 and I plan on using it again on this vacation no issues at all. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that needs a little extra room.
