And why does gatorade not sell the powered form of their other products? Greedy enterprise system. Willing to load you up on some form of "sugar" but not offering the g zero? Paying for the weight of water and bottles in the landfill. I should be paid to throw out the plastic bottles into the recycle bin. Great just great.

I used to buy bottled Gatorade as an occasional energy drink for hot weather or when I'm feeling sick. I had never heard of powdered Gatorade and decided to give it a try. I was very pleased to find it tastes identical to the bottled one. The powder is convenient in that you can control the concentration of the Gatorade by adding a little bit more or less powder to water. It's also very nice for times when you don't have any bottled available and costs far less than the equivalent bottled amount. It includes a useful plastic scoop that works well and is supposed to be added to 32 oz of water. I usually just make around a single cup at a time and eyeball a small amount of powder. The powder is a good consistency, does not make a mess or clump and mixes easily. You do have to give it a little stir to properly dissolve into the water. My main gripe is that the canister does not have a very secure lid. Its somewhat loose fitting plastic and feels like it would be relatively easy to accidentally drop and could allow bugs in. I would much rather it have a sturdier screw lid. I cleaned and dried out a much more robust plastic container with a screw lid and transferred the powder and scoop to that and it feels so much better. Other than that, I'm very happy with this powder and having Gatorade on demand.

I find this electrolyte powder to be a little sweet and syrupy. I mix this with the Amazon electrolyte powder which is a bit chalky. It's the perfect combination for me.

Especially for the larger size, the expiration date was not fantastic. Only four months to use it. I bought a smaller size 6 months ago and the expiration is still better than the one I got in the mail today.

This is the regular drink in our house. We used to buy smaller tubs of powder at the local grocery store, but this huge container is a significantly better deal per ounce than what we pay there, and WAY cheaper than buying the drinks. Pro tip: buy a 6- or 8-pack of Gatorade and save the bottles. We’ve recycled the same 8 bottles for going on 5 years, saving tons of money, and reducing unnecessary waste. We just give them a quick rinse/wash and refill! Flavor is always as expected, though we all tend to make a slightly weaker blend to reduce the sugariness a bit.

Though not as electrolyte rich & sweet as Powerade, it works for me as Powerade powder is no longer available except in huge big water cooler sized bags. I drink at least 1-1/2 to 2 bottles a day & the price for the Mix-it-yourself powder is way cheaper than buying individual bottles & much better for the environment. I make a gallon at a time & just fill my bottle daily so it works great & takes up less storage than a case of bottles would. & no, i'm not worried about calorie counts as i'm active all day & just burn it off.
