Critical review, I use a lot of batteries.
I use these batteries in a remote control, the annoying toilet flusher, a portable radio, my owl alerts, flashlights, and many other battery powered gadgets that normally discharge batteries. So far they work really well in these gadgets and the charger surprisingly charges them faster than I thought. Definitely worth the money because they last much longer than the non rechargeable disposable batteries and better for the environment. As for fit they seem to fit fine in everything so far without any problems which is really nice especially on expensive devices. I can tell you that they get a little warmer in the charger than I am comfortable with which concerns me. Because from personal experience fast charging getting batteries hot is not good for any rechargeable batteries it runis them plus its not safe I wish they had a slow or low charging setting. I can honestly say these easily out perform the Rayovac, Energizer, and Duracell rechargable batteries that discarge quickly saving you money and headaches. For just normal homeowners use for remote controls and around the household these should work perfectly fine. I have bought other batteries from EBL off Amazon and absolutely love them. I will have to keep taking notes on discharge, charging, and start measuring voltage on these to see how consistent they are and update this review. Stay tuned.Truthfully the only reason why I bought these is they do not offer the red EBL 1.5v AA Li-Ion rechargeable 3000mWh batteries in any quantity greater than four with a charger on Amazon which is why for value for my money I only rate the "value for the money" partpurchase at 3 stars. EBL needs to make those available here just like these batteries why they do not is a mystery to me. If you need an honest to goodness AA 1.5v battery for something sensitive to voltage read my review on those batteries they sell.

Good Starter Kit
I wanted an initial combination of AAA & AA batteries and charger. This was it. Product arrived in a nice box, set them up to charge, good to go. Pro- batteries line up well in charger, time to charge fairly quick, nice storage cases provided for batteries, indicator easy to read and understand, cost is fair. Con- back of device says NI-NH, believe this should read NI-MH which the direction literature says. The +/- markings on the charger base are tiny, I had to look twice to spot these. I have not tried larger C/D yet. Good product, now I will buy more bulk batteries, since I have a charging system.

Flexible USB-Powered Battery Charger
The EBL C9008 charger can charge NiMH rechargeable AAA, AA, C and D cell batteries. (The advertising claims it can also charge, older, NiCd batteries, but the instructions only mention NiMH.)There are eight, independent slots. AA and AAA require one slot each, C & D, require two adjacent slots, each. You can mix battery sizes, but be aware, you must place the larger C & D cells in a correct pair of slots, so the batteries properly connect with a contact point. (There are different contact points on the positive end, for AA/AAA versus C/D.)You have two power options (both USB.) You can use a USB-C cable (one is included) or you can use a micro-USB cable. Be aware, though, to check the specifications of the USB charging block/port you use. Older models, providing only one Amp of current, will NOT work with the C9008; it requires two Amps. The EBL charger has several protections. Overheating, overcharging and reversed polarity (positioning batteries backwards) protections are provided. The monitoring of the charging is not perfect. If, for example, the power is interrupted for more than a couple of seconds, it could misread the current charge level and take longer to charge. It will however stop charging when a battery is fully charged, although it could take several seconds for the charger to recognize a fully charged battery.Charge time depends on the capacity (mAh) of the individual battery. A depleted D-cell battery could take up to six hours to charge. Having more than one battery in the charger will also, slightly, increase the charge time for each battery. There is no "recondition" mode for this charger. If you charge a mostly charged battery, it will be "topped off" rather than drained and then charged again. (NiMH batteries do not suffer the same "memory" issue as NiCd batteries, so conditioning for NiMH batteries is not an important consideration. (However, if this charger is intended to be able to charge NiCd batteries, reconditioning is a very useful feature.)The package includes four, high capacity, AA and four, high capacity, AAA NiMH EBL-brand rechargeable batteries. (AA - 2800 mAh. AAA, 1100 mAh.)The EBL batteries are certified free of cadmium, lead and mercury, supposedly environmentally friendly and claim to have a 1200 charge-cycle capacity. If you are new to rechargeable batteries, you need to be aware, the NiMH battery chemistry is different from alkaline batteries and lithium batteries. AA, AAA, C and D NiMH batteries only provide 1.2 volts, whereas their alkaline cousins produce 1.5 volts each. Check the instructions for each device to determine if NiMH rechargeables are suitable. This EBL charger does not charge 9 volt batteries. EBL does have a different model, which can accommodate 9 volt rechargeable batteries. This charger will not try to resurrect dead batteries. If a battery is too exhausted, the charger will just provide an error indication.

Good, haven't had any trouble.
It's good. I use it to charge my AA and AAA Eneloop and Eneloop knock-off batteries. I haven't had any trouble & I've owned this for over 1 yeare.I'm going to buy a USB-C cord with a switch on it so I can turn it on and off that way. If you don't have anything in the slots then it's off, but I like the assurance of a switch. It'd be nice if each slot had sides to make battery insertion one-handed but it's also not a big deal.

It came with batteries! I did not know that. Can confirm D batteries fit.
Pleasantly surprised. It came with 4 AAA batteries and 4 AA batteries. I saw that I saw that in the reviews but I thought I was reading it wrong maybe but here they are! D batteries do charge. It comes with the old micro USB cable but I already had a USB C ready to plug in. Guess what? It can use either one. That is a plus also. So far, no regrets but if anything explodes then I'll update the review.

Okay product, one battery came nonworking
The batteries hold a charge, and its simple enough to use, but one of the AA batteries does not charge. Customer service did not respond - I would not recommend purchasing without knowing customer service is willing to stand by the product. All of the other batteries charge and work fine, for what it is worth.Update: Customer service made good, and eventually sent more batteries than it originally came with, all work perfectly. Definitely a 5 star product and good customer service.
