The perfect clay for doll making!
Ive been a sculptor since High school. Ive worked with all kinds of clay. I was having trouble for the past few months trying to find the perfect clay for my ribbon jointed doll. Every clay I tried it cracked beyond belief. No matter what armature I used, it kept cracking. I did a lot of research and found reviews on this "La Doll" clay. So I thought "what the hell" and ordered it. It comes in pure white, very easy to mold. It dries a bit fast, so make sure your hands are always moist or have a spray bottle with water so you can mist the clay while your working with it. It dries very beautiful, and hard enough to be sanded or drilled. [and the BEST thing about this clay is even once its all dried out, you can still add fresh clay to it! Just make sure you mist the dried surface first so the fresh clay can cling better] The clay is so beautiful when your doll [or project] is all dried out. It looks like porcelain lol. I would HIGHLY recommend from one artist to another, that if you want to make any kind of doll out of clay PLEASE purchase this and try it. Dont go through all kinds of clay and waste money like I did.

Great clay!
After my favorite clay formula was changed I experimented with three different types and this was the result. The clay brick work and rock is this brand of clay. The dragon and baby dragon is another brand. However, this clay performed wonderful. It is smooth and easy to use, it is easy to sculpt, and does not shrink or crack much. I only noticed 1 crack in a joint. It holds good detail, is not overly sticky, and has no smell. This is my new favorite clay, its is more expensive than I was paying but the price is worth it. I will be using this clay to finish out the rest of my wine bottle projects.

First time sculpting....easy to use...nice, lasting results.
I'm very pleased at how easy this clay is to work with. I make art dolls. I have worked with Apoxie sculpt before, which is also an amazing clay, but since I'm not yet that experienced sculpting and that clay starts to harden within the hour I am definitely preferring la doll clay as the time you have to work with is really up to you...there is no time limit. So for a first time sculptor not having skills yet to race against the clock while using...I definitely prefer this clay. Results once hardened are wonderful. Hard yet smooth (if sanded) and easy to work with...just keep some water handy in case you feel it starting to be to difficult to handle or manipulate...water will get it just right again. I definitely recommend.

A good air dry clay
I'm looking for the perfect clay for amateur sculpting. This one works pretty good. It has a high paper content so it has a pretty good amount of cohesion when dry. It dries hard. It can be smoothed pretty easily with a wet finger or smoothing tool. Lumps of clay have good adhesion so existing work can be added to.It cleans up well with soap and water. Summary - a good mix of clay, plaster and paper fibers. easy to work with, dries smooth and hard with minimal shrinking and cracking.

Perfect for BJD sculpting
LOVE this clay! Super easy to work with while wet, easy to mold by applying a bit more water for better malleability, and once it's dry it's very lightweight and durable. Perfect for working on a ball jointed doll.

Easy to use and good quality
This clay dries very smoothly and takes acrylic paint well. I'm a novice sculptor and it was very easy to build with. My only complaint is that it took 3 full days to completely dry but I'm pretty sure that's normal for air dry clay.

Excellent air dry clay for fine sculpting!
This is the best air dry clay. Does NOT bother my asthma. Allows for finely defined doll faces, hands, and feet to be sculpted. This LaDoll stone clay is a professional Artist’s delight. You can add fresh clay to dry doll by applying water then attach the parts. Sanding was a real help also.

Wonderful product, easy to use!
I am a polymer clay sculptor and needed a light weight clay to use with one of my more complex pieces. It is soft and pliable and very easy to sculpt with. It takes a few days to dry if you have sculpted a thicker piece. After it was dry, I was able to sand it to a smooth finish. Tightly wrap up whatever you do not use so that it says moist for the next time.

First time using La Doll and I found I do quite like it though it has a different feel and I encountered things I had not dealt with working with other air dry clay. I found the La Doll had more visible fibres after sanding but they respond really well to a damp brush. I found Paperclay was a little more forgiving when I hastily add a too thick layer vigorously; I had to restrain my enthusiasm more with La Doll as I found hairline cracks, especially around seems, were an issue (my fault entirely). La Doll seems to have a soft velvety finish when polished which is quite nice (Paperclay when I polish to heck out of it takes on a rock hard satiny texture). I found it easy to carve and quite quick to dry. All in all, a really nice clay to work with.

I have tried many clays and by far this one is my favourite! I add a little water to make it more flexible but it is the easiest to work with and drys smoothly. It also takes paint and glues very nicely. So far my crafts have lasted and don't crack.
