Great kit - highly recommend
I had two smaller-sized window screens that needed repair. There are plenty of on-line videos on how to replace a screen. It is a very straight forward DIY project and it took me about 20 minutes per screen. This was my first time and they look like new. I like that this kit include both the roller and new seal material. They are both needed. They say you might be able to re-use your old seal, but seals get brittle with age. Best to use new.The concave roller works great to seat the seal rather than having to press it all in with a flat-blade screwdriver which is tedious. The screen material seems durable and they provide an ample quantity of screen and seal. I have a lot left over. One tip: after pressing the seal in, trim the excess screen material with the utility knife pointed towards the inner frame edge (away from the screen). Don't trim with the blade pointed towards the screen where you could damage it.

A great deal for the money
I got this replacement screen for my patio door after my puppy chewed it up. Now that my puppy is out of the chewing stage, it was time to replace the screen. This kit comes with the black rubber material to keep the screen in (just split the tubing down the middle), the screen material, and a tool for installing.I replaced the screen in my door in less than 15 minutes by myself. The material feels as durable as my last screen, and I am very happy with the way it installed. Please note that there are no instructions in the package, but it is pretty straight forward once you get started. One side of the tool rolls the tubing into place, and the other side will push the tubing in deeper for a tight fit. Just be careful to not split the screen.I have enough excess materials left that I can redo the door again if my dog decides to chew again.

Be careful with tool
I must say I was excited about the product. I am rating it high because it does the job, however, I am returning it because of one big flaw. There was no instructions on how to use the tool in the package. From the pictures, it looks pretty straight forward but I’ve made a crucial mistake, which I take blame for. I should have did more research on how to use the tool and this is your warning here. There are two sides to the tool and one will RUIN YOUR PROJECT like I did mine. As shown in the picture, I’ve used the tool to tuck in the rubber, but the wrong side of the tool will cut your net on the inner part of the door. The pic shows my fingers poking through. I set aside a razor to cut it myself as god intended but this tool just made my work completely redundant. I’m frustrated at myself and this poor packaging. At least put a 1cent piece of paper telling you which side of the tool is for what. How hard could have that been?EDIT*My money has been refunded, so I decided to to use it to purchase this same item again from the same seller to acknowledge good business. I will use a razor from now on just to have that secure piece of mind. I’ve edited the stars from 3 to 4 star rating for great customer service.

An inexpensive way to replace a screen door
Easy to install, took about 15 minutes from prep to completion. The spline was too thin for the door, I just used the old spline.

Easier Than I Thought.
After a recent storm that took out some screens I was going to have a screen company come out and replace all the screens on my home, but I decided to try this method first and see how I did. I was a little intimidated, but it was a lot easier than I thought it saved me a lot of money by paying a company to come out and redo all my screens after a recent storm. The end product turned out great! Hopefully these will last a couple years. Quality seemed great out of the box. Let’s hope they hold up.Tip: I ended up needing a lot of this to do 30 or so windows, and I probably could’ve measured better, but I ended up with a lot of waste or weird screen sized scraps. Only con is how long it takes to do so many screens, but the product is great so far.

Perfect! See review for a couple helpful tips.
Item arrived in a nice pouch to keep it protected which was nice to see upon unboxing. The provided tool is fairly self explanatory. The grooved side puts the rubber retaining strip in the slot the other side will finishing pushing the strip in to fully secure the screen in place. The side of the tool that is "sharp" is to be used on the outside edge of the rubber strip against the door or window frame. This will allow it to push in the strip whilst preventing unintended cuts in the screen. Though you'd have to push fairly hard and/or slip out of the slot to cut the screen. I had to cut the screen with a safety blade and press fairly firmly at that so the tool should pose no threat to the screen if used carefully. Also I'll give a nice hint I came up with. If doing a door or rectangular shaped window secure a short end first then stretch and do the opposite end (the strip tears in two so you can start each strip across from each other). Then move to the long edge and secure that side then stretch the other while securing it. I used my palm to kind of drag the screen over the edge of the door so it had firm but even pulling pressure. The screen is nice and tight but has some bounce. This method gave me showroom results.Good luck and enjoy your new screen, I know I am.

It is not what it shows in the picture
The mesh arrived folded in a square and vacuum-sealed with impressions of rolling tool and screen retainer spline all over.My expectation was that any wrinkles or folds in the mesh would naturally settle after a few days following installation.Unfortunately, this has not been the case. Mesh still has noticeable wrinkles even after installation and the screen becoming looser than expected as wrinkle go away.I wasted my money and I do not know even Amazon will refund me at all as I have already installed it.Return the product if it comes folded in vacuum-sealed. It is ridiculous.
