Wasserstein Solar Panel with Internal Battery - Compatible with Blink Outdoor 3/4 & Blink Outdoor 2K+ (New Model) (Black) - Camera NOT Included

I recently had the privilege of receiving the Wasserstein Solar Panel with Internal Battery for free, and I am thrilled to share how it has transformed my Ring camera experience. If you're a Ring camera owner facing battery drain issues like I was, this solar panel is a something that I wholeheartedly recommend. The standout feature of this solar panel is its compatibility with various Ring camera models, including Blink Outdoor, Blink Outdoor (3rd Gen), and Blink XT2/XT. I own a Blink Outdoor camera, and the solar panel seamlessly integrates with it, providing a reliable and sustainable power solution. Battery drain used to be a constant concern for me, but this solar panel has solved the problem effectively. The internal battery stores excess energy, ensuring that my camera remains powered even during cloudy days or periods of low sunlight. This level of reliability gives me peace of mind, knowing that my camera won't die unexpectedly. Installation was remarkably easy, thanks to the included mounting bracket and screws. The panel's black color blends well with my camera's design, and the compact size doesn't overpower the camera's appearance. Use these to power the blink cameras. Ease of set up,and the work just great. Had them for several years now. Unfortunately I wanted to purchase another set but cant find them. Came with the mounting brackets. Have not had any trouble with them. I even have one that is in part shade and it keeps the battery charged. Cord length was just right and if a little to much able to zip tie it out of the way. If i could find them again would buy another set to finish off the other cameras I have. This helps not having to replace lithium batteries every few months and climbing up a ladder to do that.

The product arrived on time, when it came in I immediately opened the package and put all 3 panels in the sun for 2 days to let them charge. On the 3rd day I put all 3 up and connected them to the cameras, the cameras have been running for about 5 days recoding nonstop and I have had no notification yet about the battery which is exactly what I was hoping for, I have no worry about getting on the ladder to change batteries now. I plan in buying another set for my other 3 cameras now I know there is no issue so far, if anything happens I will update. But so far, so good Update: There was a storm for 3 days straight and all 3 cameras with panels died, but 2 out of the 3 recharged. The third panel was knocked by the wind facing away from the sun after fixing it, the camera has yet to recharge. I will probably just change the batteries and hope for the best. Though there was that set back I ordered another set of 3 for my other cameras. These panels are pretty good.

I purchased this solar panel for my most active Blink Outdoor camera. The batteries on this camera only lasted 6 months instead of the 2 years that they're rated. This is due to my neighbor's (very friendly) dog who loves to run around my yard several times a day. The required lithium batteries for the Blink are quite pricey, so I figured I'd save money in the long run by switching to solar. I faced one small problem whenever I originally installed. My Blink camera was flashing red since there was insufficient charge in the battery. I left it outside plugged in the camera for 2 days but it was never able to charge up enough to get more than one recording. It was very overcast these 2 days, and the panel was already in a shady spot so this was expected. I highly recommend letting it stay in direct sunlight for a couple days before installing. That should completely charge up the battery. Butttt I'm impatient... I didn't feel like waiting a couple days for the sun to come out. I took the panel inside and opened it up. I connected the battery directly to my lithium battery charger. I left it there for a few hours until it was up to 4.1V. I also started probing around and testing the output of the panel. The output is not the typical 5V that USB supplies. It outputs whatever voltage the battery is currently at. This limits the functionality of this since other micro USB devices may not work on <5V. This could have easily been remedied by adding a voltage regulator. On a mass scale, this would only add a few pennies to the price.

Unbelievable that I didn't know about this solar panel solution to my BLINK XT2 cameras before! After going through tons of batteries in a short time, because I was monitoring my feral cats feeding station & therefore a of lot motion capture alerts would drain my batteries quick, I was fascinated that these provide alternative solution to using batteries. I ordered quickly and received with in few days and set was super easy and BAM! No more batteries, no more interruptions to video alerts & monitoring. These work fantastic using the most natural energy available to us. The SUN. These have inbuilt battery that even works on a cloudy day & misty winter days. No interruptions, smooth seemless function of my Cameras. :)) Thank you for making these wonderful products. UPDATE : 2 years later, they still function flawlessly. Soildly built and I didn't have any problems. UPDATE: Now it is DEC 2024. Just a month shy from 2025. I bought these in early 2020 Both of them have been working well. One of them has begun to hold charge a bit less then before. Other than that both have given me nearly 5 years of service flawlessly. Today I bought 2 new GEN 4 blinks to add to my blink account and with them I bought 2 new Solar panels from this company. Looking forward to another 5+ and more years of service.

This solar panel with battery worked as soon as we plugged it into the blink camera. After a month still good. Lithium batteries are so expensive to replace and I'm too old to climb ladders anymore.

It does work, but it need good amount of direct sunlight to properly charge. Also note that it doesn't work right out of the box. You need to pre-charge before use. I try to install it right out of the box, and the camera will give you a low battery warning or sometime not even turn on. Sadly there is no USB or alternative charging option, so I have to leave them under the sun for a full day before use. Otherwise, once is charge, everything work perfectly. The cable is long enough in most scenario to maximize reach. I have 6 of these and they are work fine so far.

Ordered the two pack solar panels and installed them in under 1 hour, they worked straight away and the first night they held the charge even though the sun had not been out all day. After that they just worked well. I removed the existing camera internal batteries as the solar panel can't charge them. I recommend these solar panels especially if your cameras are not easy to reach to change the batteries.
