SanDisk Extreme ® Pro Portable SSD 500GB, 1050 MB/s R, IP55 Rated, for PC, MAC & Smartphone

Super fast And small. I was looking for a portable ssd that would work with my iPad, laptop and phone over USB C. Came across SanDisk extreme. Paid 9k+ for this, but it’s totally worth it. Whenever I write/read to it, it just amazes me with the speed. Totally worth it.

Its first time one can claim the Advertised speed and performed beyond that. It could hit 1.1Gig in process monitor full peak speed. On the internal it has same Nvme- m.2 SSD of M.2 WD Black SN750. In practical where it could achieve is 3.4gig and 2.5 gig . Not sure why they choose 1.3 version suppose to 1.2 which in theory could have achieved 2.1 read and 1.1 gig write which is well within usb 3.1 Gen 2 spec of 10Gbps.Over all very very good product must buy if one have good number of USB-C gen 2 port and SSD or Nvme m.2 to take advantage of the drive speed. As the hdd wont be able to cope up with the speed .Also one thing to point when in test it seems to consume some very high of upto 54% cpu usage.It may be how the crystal disk bench used to run and with high through put it might need such power to process the data.

Really like this product. Was worried when I go through multiple reviews earlier but I get ~950 MBps read/write speeds as promised on newer MacBooks. (Of course, when I tried with other 2015 MacBook Pro the speeds are low. Somewhere around 70-100 MBbs. May be that's how it works with older port limitations.)

I use it for taking back up of MacBook laptop.Earlier, I used it to transfer 10s of GB of data from old desktop computer's HDD to MacBook. I observed the speed was well below the claimed speed.So, the speed claim may be well exaggerated.I selected it primarily based on their claim of speed after much research and comparison of specs. But even then there is negative surprise on performance!

It comes with C type cable and does support my oneplus5T ! Just dont forget to turn on "OTG support" option in settings of your oneplus mobile. Speed is also fast and its very easy to use with my smartphone :)

Excellent Product.. Really compact and data transfer at high speeds..Cons: Tends to get a bit Warm but that must be normal for a SSD I am guessing..

If want to buy a product in amazon please becareful about any item I got very dangerous issue and I can’t expect this .. read carefully. I bought sandisk extreme pro 1050 mbps speed,while I was copying the files it is 65 mbps speed, I was shocked and watch the ssd drive there is extreme ssd pro, and I was to formate and install drivers when I was checked into my laptop it is showing sandisk extreme portable ssd and colour also be changed... so friends label and disk prints don’t believe lot of froud business is happening here. I don’t want to suggest to don’t buy here.. u can definitely buy any product here but verifying of item u can be smart😊😊😊

Liked its small size and portability, very light weight. Put in your pocket and just forget it.As for using it, file transfer is easily accomplished and very fast.

Tengo este disco desde hace 3 años y medio y lo que siempre me gustó de él es la portabilidad y la velocidad de transferencia (en mis pruebas llego habitualmente a los 1000MB/s, que es practicamente los 1050 anunciados) que, hasta hace una semana, me parecía lo mejor de este producto.Sin embargo hace una semana mi opinión cambió y ahora lo que más me impresiona es su resistencia al agua y al frío, a raíz de un "problema" que tuve que finalmente se terminó solucionando:Hace 5 meses y medio (a finales de Agosto), "perdí" este disco después de usarlo una semana de forma intensiva; lo busqué por todos lados en mi casa y nada... acabé concluyendo que se me habría caído del bolsillo de la mochila (que a veces me queda abierto) y resignándome a haberlo perdido. Sin embargo, hace una semana escasa, mi pareja lo encontró.... en el balcón! Resulta que había salido con el portátil una vez para trabajar desde ahí aprovechando el buen tiempo y lo apoyé en el hueco para bebidas de una silla de camping que tenemos ahí plegada, y luego me olvidé de él. Y como no busqué en el balcón (el único sitio), pues nunca lo encontré.Tengo que decir que vivo en una zona de interior en Galicia donde llueve mucho y hace mucho frío (menos de 0 grados) en invierno, y para mayor gravedad, el piso donde vivo está orientado al norte y a una altura equivalente a un 5º y está en una zona alta del pueblo, donde además de darle bien la lluvia y el frío, corre un viento bastante fuerte... y sin embargo, mantener el disco duro en esas condiciones durante más de 5 meses (incluyendo uno de los períodos más fríos y lluviososo de los últimos meses) no fue suficiente para estropear el disco: una vez enchufado, y después de haberle hecho pruebas exhaustivas de lectura / escritura, e incluso usar el comando badblocks en Linux.... el disco ha reportado 0 errores y funciona como el primer día!Lo único que se estropeó un poco fue el conector del cable que quedó "al aire" (el otro conector quedó enchufado en el disco), pero eso fue cambiar el cable y listo. A ver, en teoría el disco es IP55 y puede almacenarse hasta -20ºC, pero una cosa es la teoría y otra es la práctica :-)Pues eso, que si necesitas un disco robusto, creo que este "podría valer". Yo desde luego dudo mucho que cualquier otro disco normal hubiese aguantado en estas condiciones.

So far I am very happy with the SanDisk, but it is too early to confirm its long term reliability.I use an iPad Pro or MacBook Pro when travelling - whenever that will be permitted again! Neither device has enough internal storage for some of the less frequently needed data, or movies for entertainment.The SanDisc works perfectly with both devices, giving adequate capacity and good speed. It is also small and light to carry.After recent bad experience with conventional portable drives, I will probably replace the remaining ones with SanDisk SSDs.

Hallo zusammen,Vorweg muss ich gleich mal den Support von Amazon loben!! Festplatte (SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD 500GB) am 14.11.20 bestellt - laut App ist die Lieferung am 19 oder 20.11.2020 bei mir angekommen (leider nicht da), hab dann noch ein paar Tage gewartet, als noch immer nix da war, bei Amazon Support angerufen und mein problem geschildert, nach 30 Sekunden Klassischer Musik in der Warteschleife hat mich der nette Herr gefragt ob ich mein Geld zurück möchte oder einen neuen Artikel - hab dann den neuen Artikel gewählt weil ich das Teil ja brauche. Drei Tage Später ist es dann angekommen!! Beide Daumen hoch!!Zu der Festplatte:Mega Teil!! Extrem schnelle Platte, wie von SanDisk zu erwarten sehr wertig, USB-C auf USB-C + USB auf USB-C Kabel mit dabei - Kaufempfehlung!!!

Verwende die SSD als externes Laufwerk an meinem iMac 2020 mit interner 1TB SSD. Speichere meine Medienbiliotheken auf dieser SanDisk Extreme PRO Portable SSD. Der Zugriff auf die Dateien erfolgt "gefühlt", genauso schnell wie von einer internen SSD. Eine 3TB interne SSD wäre bei Apple "unbezahlbar". Bin sehr zufrieden mit dieser Kaufentscheidung.
