Kenwood KFC-1052S 4-Inch 110 Watt Max Power Dual Cone Speaker System

So the vendor has these incorrectly listed as KFC-1052S when in fact they are KFC-1056S. I bought these as a less-expensive alternative to the KFC-1066S. The 1066S come with grilles I didn't need and claim to go beyond 20,000Hz which I can't hear. The 1056S are without grilles and only goto 18,000Hz which I probably also can't hear. In any case, these little speakers worked perfectly as drop-in replacements for the 3.5" dashboard speakers in our Lexus UX along with Metro 72-8109 wiring adapters. I used some thin flexible packing foam material under the speakers to ensure the wiring adapters didn't jostle around causing noise and then finished the install with the original Lexus screws and grille covers. No modifications to the Lexus were needed although re-install of the grille cover on the drivers side was a bit of a chore so some modifications there would probably make the install simpler. Overall, the mids/highs sound a bit crisper and more balanced against the boomy bass from the Lexus UX door speakers.

Had blown speakers in my old honda. 4in speakers. Didn't want to spend a lot. These sets of kenwoods are perfect! Install was easy and fit was spot on. These little kenwoods sound great. Ofcourse it depends on your deck. I'm happy!

They sound like you'd expect some cheap speakers to sound...not bad, but not really exciting either. They work.

These turned out fantastic. The pair of these alone are loud enough to use while driving with the windows down on a highway. Fits perfectly in my tiny 1986 Nissan 720 pickup truck. No need for amp. Listing states 110w RMS but the speaker states 21w RMS on the magnet. They get loud as heck on a $25 Walmart cheapo head unit. Can feel the base exists but obviously not a huge amount, still way better than what was in there. Would buy Kenwood again.

medium sound quality, easy install, low clarity in max volumen, good power

These speakers fit perfect in the speaker holes for a 25 year vehicle. The sound quality is great for my purpose. I'm not trying to blow out my ear drums like I did when I was in 20's.

Great value and quality

I purchase these speakers for my 1995 Toyota 4runner. They don't fit in perfectly but they were close enough for me. I purchased them to replace some 3.5" Boss Diablo speakers that i had in for about a year. The biggest difference I've noticed between the speakers i've had in my truck and these are that the stock speakers and the Boss speakers had a rubber like membrane around the speaker and these seem to be a different material that is weaved together (better durability?). They sound sooo much better than stock or the cheapo Boss speakers i had and i'm very happy with my purchase. The only reason i gave them 4 stars was because i'm sure there is better out there for more money but for $30 these are some pretty decent replacement speakers. 11/11/11 update Still have no problems with these speakers. i've had the volume and bass turned up pretty high on them and it doesn't seem to phase them at all. great buy.

As described- sound quality is amazing for its size

i bough these as kenwood is always a good product how ever they are not even close to a 220 a speaker not even peak they are a 22 rms speaker with no tweeter in it. its a factory replacement speaker and not work have of the cost of whet they are asking. it is my fault for not really looking good at product i was buying but thats a mistake i wont be doing again
