As I sat at my desk one evening reading through many mixed reviews, my eyelids began to grow heavy and my soul weary. Would I ever find a product that didn’t have reviews featuring photos of a torched power strip and caps lock warnings of buyer beware? Would I ever stop trying to understand what makes a power strip good? Would I ever stop scrolling? As I asked myself this question, I began to ponder about the days in which people didn’t read reviews about power strips, much less write them. Surely we weren’t all always savvy consumers. Remember the days you’d walk into a store and buy a power strip? You likely never paid attention to any specifications. But now times are different. Now we have access to the horror stories associated with every product under the sun, and we can compare the specifications of one power strip to another despite the fact that we have no idea what these differences really mean. We now have stars, and you're kidding yourself if you think consumers will settle for anything less than 4 out of 5 stars. Times have changed.Anyway I ended up buying this power strip, and it seems to do what I’d hope a power strip would do. Nothing more, nothing less.

Not sure what happened here, I only used this for 3 months. It just randomly blew, I wasn't even using anything on the power strip when it happened. I thought it would be good considering it's a name brand.

I've never reviewed anything on Amazon, and I've been purchasing products weekly for 10 years. These power strips are by far the worst things I've ever bought! Here is what really upset me... I purchased two power strips and only two of the plugins on each of the power strips worked!! So I asked for an exchange thinking I would get two new power strips that would work. Well, I sent two that didn't work back to the company, and they send me two new power strips, BUT the two new power strips they send me also did NOT work correctly!!! The last two plugins on those power strips would not work!! So I basically just gave up and ordered power strips from another company.***I also found out after I had exchanged the two first power strips for two new ones (that also did not work), I could not get a refund. I'm very disappointed in GE and I will never purchase from them again.***I feel like the least they could do was refund me the 8 dollars I spend on non-working power strips.

Like most people, we have a ton of wires and electronic devices throughout our house that needs to be plugged in and the average two wall outlets is never enough to fulfill our growing needs, especially in the smart home era. We normally purchase the Amazon Basics power strips, but found these GE ones for slightly cheaper and decided to pick them up. They came fully functioning and in packs of two. Used for 1 month .. heard a crackling today and after searching my house.. found this sparking and smoking!! If I went to work, it would have burned my house down!!!! So so unsafe!! Tried to email seller and couldn’t.. supposedly has a “safety shutoff and lifetime warranty” but this didn’t do what it was supposed to!! So so mad!!! I’m just glad I hear the noise before it was too late. By the time I u plugged it and the cords (3) my fire alarms went off...

there is something wrong with these power strips. I have to really force plugs into them to get them to fit. even plugs without the bigger side prong don't want to go all the way in unless you really push way too hard. once the plug is in it does work, but I'm a bit worried about how safe these things are.

The cost of these power strips was reasonable. They are lighter than I expected that they would be. Also, there is no light to indicate that the power strip is on, so you have to look very closely to see if things are on or off. The first day that I had them, I thought that I had turned it on & had my phone charger plugged into it. My phone died. I realized that being able to tell if a power strip is on, from a distance, is useful to me. I would not purchase these again for that reason, but for anyone who does not mind the absence of an ON light, these power strips will certainly get the job done.

Nothing to like except for the price. Power cords keep coming unplugged on one of the two units in the package. Truthfully, I would have preferred paying more as I was concerned about quality of cheaper priced power strip. Seems my concerns were justified! I have always associated GE with better quality products but this power strip is very poorly constructed and pretty much useless. I recommend NOT buying this product.

Es un producto normal como cualquier multicontacto qué te puedes comprar en Walmart, pensé que era más largo no estuve tan feliz por eso, bueno debí medir mejor, el contacto hacia la pared es estorboso como muchos hubiese preferido contacto plano, quizá la calidad esté más en los componentes qué externos, no es nada wow.

The GE 6 Outlet Power Strip is a wonderful product and does exactly what it is meant to do. I was able to centralize my wires without hassle and the 8 ft length made it super convenient to use in my bedroom since the outlets in my room are very far from my bed.The quality of the product is also superb. It feels premium! Next time I need one I will definitely look for the same product/company!

This power strip has worked well for me thus far (I’ve only had it a few days), so I’m happy with the purchase. The outlets are a little close together, which doesn’t bother me, but if you have particularly large chargers, you won’t be able to fit as many other chords into the strip. Just a heads up! Anyway, I’m happy with the purchase for my purposes.

Crackling sounds coming from the bar when i try to plug anything. Orange light light shown, tried to reset it to no avail. I only had a tv and a lamp plugged in it and after1 week since purchase this item is already broken. Won't bother to return for the price but wont buy from this brand again. Haven't tried to reach customer service so I cannot say anything bad about that. But the item itself is trash.

These seem to be hard to find in the stores. The power bar is basic, with 6 outlets and a 12' cord. Outlets were a little stiff but not difficult to get cords into. The curl on the cord makes it hard sometimes to get it to sit flat.
