Knorr Fix gulasch with bellpeppers (Paprika-Gulsch Zigeuner Art) (Pack of 4)

I bought this particular flavor because of the positive reviews and I love Knorr products.This Goulash with peppers is delicious! Follow the directions. I found the English translation online from Knorr.1 pound of cubed beef and pork.( or just beef )1 lrg. Onion diced.2 red bell peppers, diced. ( we used one red and one green )1-1/2 cups of water.Brown meat with onions. Add salt and pepper just to season a little.Once meat and onions are browned and sautéed add goulash package mix and the 1-1/2 cups of water. Stir well. Cover and cook about 50-60 minutes until mostly tender.Add the peppers and cook another 50-60 minutes. Done!We made homemade spaetzl to enjoy with it.You could serve no yolk extra wide noodles, too.We bought a spaetzl maker here on Amazon, too. It's a flat, 10 inch stainless steel plate with nice holes in it that fits over your pot of simmering water for spaetzl to drop directly in. Cool gadget!

Tastes great. Excellent for German food and beef brisket.

It is very easy to make a goulash for 4 people with this packet. You just add water, 1 lb of browed stew-cut meat, simmer for 20 to 30 minutes and then add few cut-up bell peppers (preferably green) and continue simmering for another 20 to 30 minutes. It really tastes like the goulash I often ate in the cafes in Munich in my graduate student days. Of course, the peppers available in the US are not exactly like the Hungarian ones, but the green ones here come closest. The sauce is perfect because the powder in the pouch has a penetrating flavour which I feel is authentic. It goes perfectly with soft buttery noodles or potato dumplings. Amazon also carries convenient packets to make these easily, unless you are content just to serve it with boiled new potatoes. These exotic (foreign) convenience packages are not cheap but they taste good and are pretty authentic. Dinner can be ready with minimal effort.

Always liked Knorr seasonings, been using Knorr for over 30+ years. It’s hard to find different kinds in grocery stores in Canada…so glad to be provided with so many choices on Amazon which I so seldom use!Taste good and easy to use. Item was as described. Will order other kinds from Amazon soon.
