I have purchased these bamboo charcoal bags. They work really well if you’re trying to rid the air of dampness or smoke or any impurity in the air. After placing them in my finished basement, where there was slight dampness in the air after placing them the next day, I smelled nothing absolutely nothing very impressed of this product, and I have recommended it to several people so far.

I bought the 12-pack with 6-150s and 6-...50s? I got them because no matter how hard i tried to keep the litter box scooped, the ammonia smell still lingered. I put two 150s in the bathroom ...where I keep the box... 2 in my living room ...1 in the kitchen ...and 1 in my bedroom. I've got a small one in each trash can and rotate them in footwear as i rotate them on my feet. (slippers->shoes) My mother, who has a very sensitive nose(and brought the cat scent to my attention ...i guess i was used to it?), even appreciated them so much that she bought some for herself. She helps take care of horses and tracks their smells around with her in the car, i guess. These are DEFINITELY worth the cost, IMO. Particularly when they don't appear to just cover up the smells by putting more chemicals and/or 'better' scents into the air, but actually pull them out of the air and eliminate them(but not their sources, of course. heh). I'd read 1 or 2 reviews about a chemical smell with these things. I did not experience that at all. There was NO scent to them, as far as i could tell. All they did in my place was remove those smells that were already there. In fact ...i live in an apartment complex and this year there were a couple of people that decided it wouldn't be a problem for anyone if they smoked fish out in front of our building. I tended to leave the windows open as i went to work for the day and when i got home, my apartment reeked. Granted, smoked salmon isn't the worst smell in the world, IMO, but it can linger and set into upholstery/clothing/carpet and not everybody likes it. Anyhow, i closed the windows and a couple hours later BAM! No smoked fish smell. I started closing my windows before i left for work and it is no longer stuffy ...when not allowing fresh air to circulate... when i get home either, so i really think i am going to appreciate these this winter, as well. The next test is how long they last. So far, so good. I haven't moved them in weeks and they still seem to be working just as well as they were at the first. If they lose their effectiveness in another month(as has been noted in reviews), i plan to set them on the window sill for a dose of UV radiation to 'recharge'(also noted). I'll try to remember to update this review with the results at the time. All told, so far, this appears to be one of the best purchases i've ever made.

There is a noticeable difference in the air quality of my home even just after an hour of having them up. I’ve been looking for natural and nontoxic ways to eliminate everyday odors and this is it! I docked one star because the metal loops it came with to hang don’t fit around my doorknobs, but this was easily fixed by hanging them with twine instead.

These didn't work, have a dresser with an unpleasant smell, likely from humidity at a beach house. Filled drawers with these and no improvement. I don't recommend.

Very pleased with these bags. I have a litter box in a small laundry room. I keep it clean but there was always the odor of litter -- dusty, almost a dirt smell -- not litter box smell, just the litter itself. I put a large and a small bag out in the sun for two hours, hung them in the laundry room and I could not believe it when about 15 minutes later the odor was gone. I thought my nose was playing tricks on me, but I asked my husband, who has a very sensitive nose, and he confirmed he could smell "nothing." I got up the next morning and went to the laundry room just to make sure and, again, nothing -- and the box needed to be scooped! For the reviews where they said it didn't work, I'm thinking they may not have put them in the sun for 2 hours before using. The bags come with no instructions -- at least my box didn't. Here online it says to recharge every 30 days by placing in the sun for 2 hours. So, if you don't do that right out of the box before hanging them the charcoal probably isn't activated and won't work. I have found that if I close the door to the room it's not quite as effective as it needs air circulation (which it says online, as well). I'm placing them all over my house so we can smell "nothing" everywhere! Great product -- definitely recommend trying!

These are really great! I placed one in my car and one in between my kitchen garbage can and my compost bag. I noticed a significant difference. Like the dryer balls this product is so eco-friendly. Attractive too. Love the hooks.

My furniture has a paint odor, so I bought this to help remove it. I placed a bunch of packets in the room, opened the windows, and ran an air purifier and fan 24/7, blowing air at the furniture. I received it that afternoon and unpacked it and started using it. After using it for an afternoon, it seems to be working; the odor in the room has become a little lighter. I hope it continues to work. I saw on the packaging that it can be used for two years. It seems quite cost-effective. The advantage is that it comes with a small hook which is very convenient. The only drawback is that the original packaging is not sealed enough.

Jag använde "12-pack luftreningspåse i bambu" direkt efter att jag hängde upp dem i tvättstugan, pannrummet och även i ett inre rum i källaren. Resultatet var fantastiskt – redan efter några timmar kunde jag märka en tydlig skillnad. Dålig lukt försvann nästan helt och luften kändes fräschare. Jag är mycket nöjd och rekommenderar starkt dessa påsar till alla som har problem med instängda eller unken luft!
