Great Product. makes a perfect, tasty crust
To make the crust dairy free...I had to modify the recipe a little:Miyoko's plant butter, ice cold, 10 oz cut to 1/4 inch squares. Put into mixer.Freeze pie crust mix in package. Add to mixer ice cold.Mix at very low speed, stir for 5- 10 minutes until dough forms little BB sized balls.Add 8-12 tbsp ice water. We have a soy-dairy-gluten-rice allergy in the house. This mix has opened up a whole new realm of meals for us. Pot pies, fruit pies...Awesome.

Very easy to make and delicious
Some of my family has celiac’s or gluten sensitivity so finding stuff that is delicious and has a good texture is always a win. It came together very well and was easy to handle and made a bunch of pies. Will definitely use this again.

Not a perfect substitute, but pretty good!
I don't require gluten free, but I have a friend who does, so I got this for when we cooked together. I found that it didn't have the elasticity or texture of a typical pie crust. It also tastes slightly sweet. It clashed quite a bit for spicy savory (meat) pies, BUT we found it perfect for dessert pies. We weren't able roll it out and lift it into pie plates, but it worked fine for pat-in-pan type pie crust. We made an amazing lemon curd tart with it. So, if you understand the limitations of this type of dough (which I clearly did not), it is a fine gluten free option.

It’s yummy!
You can’t find a lot of flour that’s good! I wish they made white bread? I fold it and stuff it with all kinds of stuff !

Decent gluten free pie crust
It’s gluten free, it tastes ok, but it burnt before the pie was cooked.

Best crust I have tried so far
Best crust I have tried so far. This crust reminds me of my Mom's butter crust that she made for all her pies. The mix stays together when rolling out. There is enough crust mix for 2 pies and extra if you are making a fruit pie. The flavor is nutty but not overwhelming. The flavor does not take away from your pie but compliments it like it should. The crust bakes nicely and you do not have to pre-bake it. I will be using this pie crust mix for the Holidays.

Completely damaged/crushed box and product.
Upset that this came in a completely crushed and opened box and there’s no way to get a replacement. Was planning to use did Thanksgiving. 😔 What a waste of $12!!

Rice flour doesn't make good crust and directions were way off
I followed the manufacturer's directions to blend 8 - 10 tablespoons of cold water and 1 (plus) stick of unsalted butter with the entire box to make 2 crusts. I doubled checked all the ingredients to make sure I did it right, but the crust wouldn't come together with the full 10 tablespoons of water and cold chunks of unsalted butter. Instead it was still very crumbly. After I added about 4 or 5 additional tablespoons of water it started to stick together so I formed a ball and rolled it out. It was difficult to thin out this crust, so I ended up with a thicker crust which I didn't think would be a problem. At this point the crust kept falling apart around the edges of the pie plate and I was completely unable to form any kind of attractive design around the rim. Since it kept falling apart, I finally decided to cut it off which makes for an ugly pie. Anyway, I had this crust in the oven for an hour for a thick Pumpkin pie and the entire crust turned dark brown, I guess due to it's butter content because butter burns quickly.According to the directions provided, the crust looks nothing like the picture on the box. This product and the directions provided do not live up to it's claims of being a flavorful, flaky crust. Instead it was flavorless, brown, too thick, hard, gritty and difficult to work with.Salted butter or Crisco might have improved the flavor and texture of the crust a little bit so I'm not sure why they decided unsalted butter was the best choice. Based on my experience with this product, I assume whoever wrote the directions doesn't know much about gluten free baking.Fortunately, I had a couple of premade, 8 inch gluten free pie crusts (Wholly ???) in my freezer which were very small but slightly better in both appearance, texture and taste. Based on my experience, I would not recommend to this product.
