This is a fabulous cooler at a great price. My husband has the other brand and loves it, but he admits this cooler is just as good at much lower price. They are extremely similar in construction and weight. They hold ice exactly the same amount of time. Save some money with this rugged cooler. Strong corners for locking or securing.

So I've given this a little time so I could see how well the Frosted Frog would do. I must say I'm loving it. After the initial cool down, around four 7lbs bags of ice, it has held up amazingly well. Mine is inside a camper so always in the shade but not always cool. I get a 16lb bag about every 4 days. Do I need too you ask, no. The water and ice left, though little, are very, very cold. Mine mostly for drink because don't want to take up room in a small camper refrigerator. I have put well wrapped and bagged frozen meat in it, it took days to get to the point I could cook it. If your using it for camping outdoors pre cooling the cooler and all your items is a plus with any cooler. And customer several? Awesome. I couldn't figure where the battery went for the light since it didn't have instructions. They got back to me in a snap. Loving my Frosted frog!

It does keep stuff cold. And it seals very well. And I LOVE the color and name. However, if you have a bad back, or are not physically strong, this might not be the cooler for you as it is extremely heavy. I can carry it without food in it, but if I put anything in it, I have to have someone else carry it or help me. I get that the insulation material makes it heavy, but at some point the trade off isn't worth it. Presently I put it in my car empty and then fill it. while it is sitting in the car.

Cooler is well worth the money. I have the same size and from the “leading” brand, and it is the same weight, and built just as well. The chain on the drain, as well as the vent to release the pressure are just subtle touches that make this unit stand out.

I bought this recently but put-off the review until I tested it on a 5 day car camping trip. This cooler keeps things very cold, like Frozone from the Incredibles cold. In fact, I'm pretty sure Frozone sleeps in a Frosted Frog Rotomoulded house, because Frozone is 1. a cool guy (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson, another very "cool" guy), but also 2. someone who seems very practical and wouldn't waste a bunch of money on the name brand cooler that everyone buys so they can put a sticker on their car and announce to the world that their favorite hobby is keeping things cold. I too enjoy a high performance cooler but I do think it's kinda weird that a cooler has become a status symbol. Anyways, I'm very happy with my frosted frog. Nothing about it feels cheap, the details are all well done and performed well during my trip, the bottle opener is great, and it really feels like it can take a beating. 10/10.
