easy to apply and it works great
this is the ideal product for those smaller caulking jobs— such as waterproofing the installation of a window, air conditioner. With a cap, you use only the amount of material that you need at a particular time, and reseal it to use later. You can wash it off your hands easily, if you wash when the caulk is still soft I consider the price to be very reasonable.

Good quality and decent price
I actually used this for a craft project. I placed it on wax paper to make snow for a gingerbread house I made out of a painted repurposed doll house. Then hot glued it to the plastic. Worked perfect for my crafts that require snow or filling in gaps on a project.

DAP for Everyday.
This comes in handy when you do not possess a caulking gun for the usual DAP related projects. We used to seal and install a Jensen 781045 Builder Series Framed Medicine Cabinet, and it worked well. It is also resealable, so if you see a spot that needs some touch ups, this will do the trick. We will see how it holds up, but so far, it is doing a fine job.

I'm a complete beginner at caulking, but this was really easy!
I'm a complete beginner at caulking, but couldn't stand looking at the mold forming on the cracked and mostly missing caulk around my tub or the gap between my kitchen counter and backsplash where there was absolutely no caulking. I was once given some caulk in a tub that was very hard to use so I really wanted something with an applicator that would be just about fool-proof.I didn't look up any how-to videos or anything like that, I just used common sense which seemed to be enough. I used what I had at hand - which was a screwdriver - to remove the years old bits of caulk around my bathtub. I then used a sponge to get rid of any residue that was left over. I put on some rubber gloves and started squeezing the caulk out of the tube and using my gloved finger to push the caulk (not sure what verbiage to use there?). After a couple minutes I gave up on the gloves and just decided to use my fingers. It made it a lot easier and cleaner. Luckily, the caulk washes off pretty easily. It's also easily cleaned off of tiles if you apply a little too much. Again, I'm a beginner at this so I have no clue if they're all like this, but I'd say that this caulk is very user-friendly and a great buy for novices looking to improve their home a little bit. I'm a renter and I don't like the idea of putting too much money into a place that I can't wait to move out of, but while I'm here I'd like the place to look as nice as possible, and also to be as pest-proof as possible which is important especially in NYC. Also, the price is great!

Worked on furniture
I was redoing my husbands childhood high chair. The seat had developed a crack and I read where caulking could be used instead of wood putty if the item is being painted (which I was doing). It was easy to apply and used my finger get the caulk into the crack. I like that is flexible when dry and I was able to sand it smooth. I painted the chair with chalk paint and clear Rustoleum paint. It turned out great and can't tell the seat has been repaired. Great product!

Great Caulk for painting (updated review)
Just wanted to say how much I love this product for caulking around trim in a room before painting. Goes on easy and smooth. I also love using the squeeze tube over a caulk gun for precise control - but it is helpful to have a strong grip for squeezing it out. UPDATE - after reading up on caulking I learned many prefer a competitor product by DAP "Dynaflex 230". That project appears to be more flexible and good for indoor/outdoor. One key to the Alex Plus is make sure you paint over it for good long term use. The Dynaflex appears to be better if you forget to paint over it or miss some spots. Dynaflex takes 4 hours to dry vs 30 mins with Alex Plus. Both are good and used by pros.

Shrinks and cracks
Used for windows. Followed the instructions. After I painted, in about 2 days I noticed cracks in paint where I applied the caulk. Well, thought I did not use it properly. Had to redo. Nope. Still the same. Used different paint. Nope. Still cracks. Assuming not good for places with humidity and temperature fluctuations. Pros: easy to clean.
