Fuel for the miles and tasty to boot
A must have for car-camping\ backpacking if you like spaghetti and meat sauce--a little bulky in terms of volume but can be squished down a bit and it's lightweight, coming in at about 4.25 oz. I can fit 3-4 of these in a 60L pack, depending on how I'm kitting out and if I'm car camping there's no problem. Freeze-dried is well worth it for ease of preparation--boil some water, mix it, done. Obviously, the pasta is wheat; but no dairy as far as I know. if you're going solo, it's a 2-serving meal, so plan appropriately (I generally eat these meals for breakfast or lunch); and bring some crushed red pepper to spice it up! The sauce is fine on its own, but I'm a chili head...

Best recipe
10/10 Backcountry meal, out of all the freeze dried meals I've tried, this one rehydrates the best with no "crunchieness" texture at all, tasted just like fresh spaghetti. I couldn't finish the whole thing for dinner and it was just as delicious as a cold breakfast on the trail

Goes on the "Buy Again" list
I've been slowly trying out freeze dried meals for my camping trips and this is one to buy again. Seasoned nicely, not too salty like some meals can be. And this one hydrates perfectly and super-quick too. As long as you bring a basic measuring cup with you, it's quick & easy to prepare.I do have to say that while it is labeled as two servings, it will depend on a couple of factors...1. How hungry are you?2. Is this all that is for dinner?Personally, i was really famished and ate the whole thing myself...for reference, i'm only 5'6" & 115lbs. I found it to be adequately filling although I could have stopped a few bites short of finishing but it was so tasty, i had to polish it off.So i'd definitely recommend this one for camping and will be buying this again since it's priced so reasonably.

Delicious trail food
This was like a five-star meal after my very strenuous hike into camp a couple weeks ago. I was so hungry and I wasn't sure if I was going to like this. I mean it is a dehydrated meal. How good can it be, but you'd be amazed at how good anything tastes when you're out on the trail. Honestly, even if I wasn't hiking, I'd say this was a good meal and tasted good. I unfortunately added too much water so it was a bit more like a soup which is not a bad thing necessarily still tasted good. The noodles were done all the way and I just got a little bit of extra hydration from it. It's a very good meal. Highly recommend if you have the room in your pack.

Favorite Premade Hiking Meal
I've only tried a few different hiking meals, but this one is absolutely my favorite. It actually tastes like spaghetti! It's got a little spice, but it's not spicy. Also, it's super easy to make. The hard part is figuring out how much water to pour in when you don't have a measuring cup - I'd appreciate a fill line on the inside or something, but it's workable as-is.

Not bad, not great...can see why it's discounted
I made this one to try out after having good luck with the Lasagna and Biscuits and gravy. This came in a 2 pack with the Mac and Cheese which is really just OK/so-so...can see why they are discounting these and bringing on more protein heavy entrees like Peak Refuel makes standard for about the same money when they go on sale. The pasta was tender, sauce was tasty just had a bit of a heavy hand with the marjoram. Too much of that makes for a little bitter taste. Still, was good overall and nice and basic for a comfort meal. Won't seek it out but would eat it if it came in an assortment. Lasagna is better flavor w more protein.
