This pack has everything I was looking for in a running backpack. It sits snuggly on my back with little movement. Adjusting the pack is very easy and it stays adjusted very well. I use this pack primarily for running but will also use it while cycling when the weather improves. I made two minor adjustments to the pack. I removed the metal zippers pulls and add the Chums Zipquix Zipper Pulls. This reduced the noise while running and the new pulls actually work a little better. I also didn't find the strap that goes all the way around the back needed so I removed it. The remaining straps and buckles seem to be plenty for my needs. I love the magnetic pockets on the front shoulder straps! This is the perfect place for a mobile phone and easily accessible while on the go. I highly recommend this backpack to anyone looking for low profile, light weight, and versatile. Exception value for what you get.

I used this pack yesterday to run the Spartan Beast in Ohio, which was about 14 miles. This backpack was perfect. A lifesaver. I only filled the water bladder up halfway to keep weight low as possible, then refilled (only halfway) at the water stations once I ran out.Some of the other things I carried: cellphone (triple sealed in ziplock baggies), 2 salt tab packets, 2 energy gummy packets, 3 homemade breakfast burritos sealed in foil (I'm not even playing, we ate them after mile 8. Best idea ever), contact lense solution plus case, NUUN electrolyte tablets, and a protein bar. I stuck the mouthpiece into my sports bra to keep mud off.This thing stood up to everything I went through. It was somewhat water resistant. My items inside weren't really wet at all. It fit me snugly, didn't chafe at all, and was just plain comfortable. I will absolutely wear it for my Spartan Super (8 mile) next month.Honestly, when I first got this and tried it, I worried about it buckling comfortable over my chest (a very busty 36DD). The key was to buckle the straps UNDER, right at my rib cage bra line. I had zero issues with this, and highly recommend Aerolife Hydration Backpack.

I did NOT receive this item at a discount like every other reviewer. I bought it and returned it because it is NOT a running backpack. It's enormous (about twice as long as it needs to be) and not just because I'm petite. A true trail running pack needs to be as minimalist as possible so you can run hard but still carry water and essentials. If you are hiking or walking, this could work for you, but it goes from your shoulders all the way down to your hips and looks more like a backpacking pack instead of a trail running pack. I ended up buying the Astral from UltraSpire which is about 4 times the price, but is designed for real running. I wanted this pack to work because of the low price, but it is simply too big for running, even on a large person.

This is a well made backpack. I bought it to use while hiking and it has more room than I expected for a lite day pack. Plus it's waterproof.

The straps are not in the right place for women. It's a roomy pack, and I gave it two stars for that.

For the money this gets 5 of 5. Awesome ultrarunning pack. very light and snug. Front pockets are places nicely for easy access. My only complaint is the bladder mouthpiece. Not the best. Plan to modify with a camelback bite valve.
