Great value for the price, no issues. Easy to operate and recharge.

I have not had to use this but feel safer with it. I am one of those persons who do not want to have a gun as I am not sure I would be brave enough to use it. However, I would definitely use this. It fits nicely in my purse and I carry it with me always. I liked it so much, I bought one for my daughter and one for my grand daughter for Christmas.

Nice and easy to handle it. I haven't tried yet, but i can tell that only for the noise when you press the button you can scare whoever you pointed it to.

Although I haven't hit anyone with it it sounds very powerful.

I received this 2 days ago, immediately read the instructions, first tried the switch and nothing happened. I put it on the charger for about 8 hrs as recommended. The red light indicating charging was on. After 8 hours there is nothing working on the unit; light does not light or even flicker, on stun, the stun on light does not light, no action whatsoever. I put it on the charger overnight and this morning there was no change in inactive behavior. Probably the most likely reason that this was sent to me is complete lack of testing and quality control at manufacturer or distributor. In the past few years I have come to distrust Amazon vendors and other suppliers. There are a lot of good people in this world, but also liars, cheaters, etc. It is too easy to set up a source for merchandise infected by large percentages rejected units, by returns, manufacturing rejects, etc that can be purchased by unscrupulous 'entrepreneurs' and sold along with working units at deep discounts. The first thing that I usually look at on Amazon items are the review. One should prefer those with hundreds or thousands of reviews and look at the very negative ones. If one sold items salted with defective, rejected items, say 5%, these are more likely to get a review with one-star (no zero star options are allowed by Amazon). The total ratings may end up with 4 or 4 1/2 stars. Just look at the spread. If the total shows a small bump at the bottom of the chart (1 star) be suspicious and read all those review, especially those that seem to be written by knowledgeable people. If you are in a hurry and skip this time consuming step, as I did on this item, do not be irate if you were sent junk.
