This Littmann Classic ll infant Stethoscope is perfect. This is a high quality stethoscope that will last the a long time.

High quality, great for exotic pets
I'm an exotic animal veterinarian, and I use this stethoscope on everything from 14g hamster pups to 10-pound pets. The sound quality is great, and it picks up on low-grade murmurs in small cats and dogs better than my larger Littmann. It's still working wonderfully two years after purchase.

It's a Littmann
I've had many Littmann Stethoscopes over the years and if anything, these are the ones that get taken if I'm foolish enough to leave it around (even with a tag). This particular one serves it's purpose well. The color is generally unique as well as the bell which is rainbow and the earpiece which is gold. I haven't seen anyone else with it yet so people should know that it is mine. As to the function, the infant head allows for a more precise location of whatever sounds you are trying to hear which really is the point. The big adult head (and even the pediatric one) on an infant will cover a lot of the heart and you may have a harder time isolating what you want to hear.

Expensive stethoscope but Littmann never disappoints. In my role I have to do neonatal observations and I need to be precise and the small head if perfect for accuracy on newborn babies. Expensive but worth every penny and looks amazing I’ve had lots of compliments from fellow paediatric colleagues.
