Quality tent
Nice tent. The netting and fabric are excellent quality. The zipper works great and the rain fly provides good coverage.

Oh, rats, return closed 2 days ago.
I ordered just prior to breaking my wrist November 27. I still don't have complete use as of today Feb. 2.I decided to better try and set this tent up, before return would close. RATS. Closed two days ago. I should have looked. Now it is staked out, and the poles are in, but I can not push them to set it up completely. I think, I have to wait another month or longer before my wrist is strong enough. I am very sad about it all.

Family car camping tent
The tent body itself is nicely constructed and great quality but the tent poles are a major pain in the butt to slide through the loops so I took off 2 stars for that reason alone because it’s a huge drawback during set up. It took two people and we still had difficulty because of the way the poles are made they continued to slip out of position (hard to explain but they have to be inserted into joints every foot or two). They continue to come out of the joints as you are sliding the poles through the loops so you have to straighten the pole back out and insert it back into the joint constantly in order to get it through the tent body loops. They usually come out of the pole joint WHILE it’s inside the tent body loops so you are having to pull it back out of the tent body loops and reposition the poles into their joints constantly. Very frustrating and time consuming process (and I have owned a lot of tents so know how to pitch a tent) if we weren’t past the return deadline we would probably return it and choose another tent for this reason alone.Aside from the frustration of the poles/pole joints and tent loops for the poles, it’s a great size tent for a family for car camping. It holds up well and is tall enough to walk into which was one of our key needs so you don’t have to crawl into a tent. The ventilation is nice throughout. I have not tested it in rainy weather yet.The storage bag is large and well made. We had no trouble storing the poles and tent body in it without having to fold the tent body just so to get it in.If you need a tall and spacious tent with a great carry bag that’s well made, this is a good choice just know set up will take you longer because of the tent poles and you will definitely want two people to avoid frustration…or lessen frustration.

Very roomy and Kelty quality I love.
I didn’t upgrade to a tall tent because my older Kelty was in great shape after many years. Finally upgraded and I am so glad I did, this tent is roomy, easy to set up, and packs better than other tents I’ve owned.

Fantastic Tent
This tent is really great and I can't wait to use it this summer. It has plenty of ventilation (would use it on Ragbrai) We did a trial run in the garage. I am really surprised more tent makers haven't started offering a tall tent. Now I will be able to change my clothes easily and won't have to perform gymnastic moves to get out of the tent. The quality is decent, and the tent had no noticeable flaws. Would buy it again. I will update in July.

Tent iself ok, poles are garbage
First the pros. I love the size and space, I can stand up inside which is what I was looking for. No issues with leaks. I really had high hopes as I have a smaller Kelty backpacking tent that's been awesome. That was has metal poles. This one came with fiberglass ones. Which is fine for its price point but the workmanship has been atrocious. I've had cheap tents with fiberglass poles that lasted a decade. These didn't last a season. Poles were never abused. Tent never even faced high winds. But the ends of the poles cracked, giving me nasty micro fiberglass splinters. I put duct tape to mitigate things and at least prevent more splinters. Finally the bungee cord frayed and broke making them useless. Part of the issue is that you need metal joints at each end, not just the female joint. The male joint needs a metal tube to prevent cracking. The floor of the tent is nylon, not tarp, so you'll probably need a footprint. Other nitpicks, wish it had a back window and a larger front window for cross breeze. If they'd fix these issues this could be a 4 or 5 star tent but as of now I cannot recommend it. I put in a warranty claim, we'll see how that goes. Even if they send me replacement poles, if they're the same I'd be reluctant to use them lest they just split again.Update: I contacted them for warranty. They responded saying they did not have any replacement poles to send me. Maybe they stopped making them. They offered to try to fix mine if I mailed them in. Not worth the trouble. And I wouldn't want those splinter sticks anyway even if they did 'fix' them. In the end, sadly, I just trashed the whole tent to the landfill. Bought a Coleman 4 person. I can't stand up in it but it's been way more reliable. And For a stand up tent, I have an REI 6 man with aluminum poles. Frantastic tent just too much time to set up for a weekend. Maybe someday they will fulfill my dream of an easy set up, tell, stand up tent.
